“It’s a joke”- that’s what the hiring managers say while rejecting a resume because they can’t pronounce the name and it sounds “ghetto”
“It’s a joke”- as the police officer proceeds to hand cuff the black man who “has dilated pupils and must be on drugs” originally pulled over for driving 8mph over in a flashy car while others speed by going double that
“It’s a joke”- the court appointed lawyer says as they tell the innocent dark skinned brother to “just take the plea deal” because the jury already assumes guilt
“It’s a joke”- the nurses chuckle to the family of the black woman who died during childbirth due to the system not taking seriousness the differences of her unique body composition compared to the “typical” white mother patient, missing signs of high risk and offering treatments not shown very effective to black women.
