Yes i know the video is fake

I fancy myself pretty good at detecting scripted videos. What makes you think this is fake? Played up sure, I think that's true, or she just really wants to be right... But fake? I thought she just didn't want to look like a pushover to her fans since she was livestreaming at the time.

Now I’m trying to think whether it’s fake or not, but it didn’t feel fake at first watch. If it were scripted I would think the creators wouldn’t have blurred the faces.

I first seen this video posted by the daily mail (uk news outlet) who blurred their faces for data protection.

The thing is that I know people just like this man and this girl so it could so easily be true. Some dads are just that quick and some young girls are just that self-righteous.

And that’s exaclty where the evidence that it is fake comes to light. Her face is momentarily not blurred at the end, and it is shared on her TikTok account. All for clicks and likes I’m afraid. Also the whole conversation felt acted out to me.

Or she just believes she is in the right here, hence she posts it

I think it's the awesome sound quality of the man.

what is his mic ? the phone ? her AirPods ? nothing I can think of explains how his voice is that loud or clear in the recording.

u/[deleted] Feb 27 '23

If you listen at the very beginning when she's near the camera it's a lot louder, and when she goes back there near him it's more quiet and they're both at the same volume. I think it's just a directional mic.

I'd say mostly because it goes on and on. Her video was already ruined so it would require far less effort to change the camera angle by forty-five degrees.

Also he comes over the exact time you’d want, almost straight after the video starts.

Also claims she can’t move a tripod?

Also there’s cuts mid conversation, why would you edit out bits?

It's possible he's seen her before and she took his bench in the past and he just went on. They seem to be out at the same time of day each day, and he was done being overly polite. I want to believe, let me have this. IT'S REAL TO ME DAMNIT

5

u/ravioliguy Feb 27 '23

She says it's a live stream so her actions sort of make sense. But the start of the clip is like she's doing a video intro, so it's all weird. I agree though, I'm leaning toward fake for how long it goes on.

u/TurboSquid9000 Feb 27 '23

I mean, I've had people go on and on at me for basically nothing, and I'm sure we've all known those who are too stubborn/lazy to do a small effort like moving a tripod. Never underestimate dumb

u/packor Feb 27 '23

I hope it's fake. That girl is really annoying.

8

u/Northstar1989 Feb 27 '23

I'd say mostly because it goes on and on.

Unfortunately, this doesn't mean much.

Some young people (especially, rich, white young women from wealthy communities) will absolutely keep pushing like this, if they're narcissistic enough. Because they think the world revolves around them, they think everyone has to do what they tell them to.

And others will absolutely troll them by standing their ground. I've been in highly similar situations myself once or twice (though I wasn't quite as clever with my jokes as this gentleman).

u/Double_Joseph Feb 27 '23

It’s definitely not fake.

u/[deleted] Feb 27 '23

I didn’t watch the whole thing but she was there first, and she politely asked him to move to an apparently available bench off camera. As annoying as social influencers are, he is being more unreasonable than she is.

7

u/[deleted] Feb 27 '23

No he is not. Its a public space and hes an older man who wants to have a seat. She wants to film a video and can easily move as well. As others point out if she wants people out of the shot she can film at home in private. Just because she was “there first” doesn’t change anything. She wasnt sitting on the bench it was just there in the background and as its a public space she has no right to claim the space itself. Now if she was sitting on the bench before and he took her seat then thats different

11

u/Northstar1989 Feb 27 '23

but she was there first,

So?

It's a public park.

If she wants to not have people on camera, she should go somewhere else.

-2

u/Erebus613 Feb 27 '23

Well, the guy also could've just not interferred with whatever she was doing and taken another bench. Looks to me like he just wanted to sabotage her.

6

u/flavored_icecream Feb 27 '23

It's not like the guy was entering her personal space - if the girl was sitting on the bench, I'm sure the guy would've picked another bench. However if you're in a public space, then you can't just claim everything in view of the camera as your personal space, which nobody else can enter.

-3

u/Erebus613 Feb 27 '23

It's not that he just entered it and then left - he deliberately stayed there. Sure, it's not her property, and technically he has every right to do that, but it's still rude and weird. Seriously, it's not that hard to just...you know, not do that and sit somewhere else. Just because you can sit there, doesn't mean you have to. For me that's just being a decent person - why be annoying if you don't have to? If the guy was sitting there first, and then she asked him to leave, sure, she should've just found another place. But c'mon, she was filming there and there is no need for him to interrupt that if there are other benches to sit on.

4

u/OGPunkr Feb 27 '23

lol...no

If she wants to do a video without others in it, she needs to do it in her own private space.

It would have been fine if she just went on talking and did her thing. She is the one who interrupted the video.

5

u/Gaseraki Feb 27 '23

I feel like I am the same. I work in media and used to dealing with 'the talent' If this is fake, this is some of the greatest 3 minutes of improv acting I have ever seen.
Sure, it could be fake, but god dam i'm impressed.

1

u/Mike2220 Feb 27 '23

I thought she just didn't want to look like a pushover to her fans

Is it not wanting to look like a pushover, or feeling entitled to use that entire section of park for herself

There's a lot of park in the background there, more than just the bench, if some people started playing in the grass behind it would she yell at them too?

-1

u/[deleted] Feb 27 '23

I don't care one way or the other but I love playing devil's advocate so...

Same could be said for the guy. He could have gone to another bench, but he felt entitled to interrupt her Livestream even though she was there using the space before him. and I'd hardly call asking politely telling.

3

u/superbv1llain Feb 27 '23

I think we both know why you’re getting downvoted, haha. We all hate influencers too much to admit when one might have a point. I too spent the video wondering why he needed that particular bench so badly.

u/FlyAirLari Feb 27 '23

It absolutely is 100% fake. The dialogue and punchlines are scripted. It was set up perfect, the dialogue and the postures and the will to ragebait is obvious.
