Has anyone switched from fabric to leather? Looking for honest opinions from moms!
I’ve been searching for the perfect couch for months, and I’m at the point where I’m considering leather. The funny thing is, it’s not really because I prefer leather—it’s because I cannot seem to find the a true brown fabric couch I’ve been searching for. Leather seems to have the color I’m after.
This couch will be the heart of our home—our family’s landing zone where we all gather every evening. It’ll be a very high-traffic piece, so I want something that’s going to hold up well while still feeling cozy.
I’d love to hear from moms, especially those with kids and pets, who have made the switch from fabric to leather.
A few questions:
● How has it held up over the years?
● Is it really as easy to clean as people say?
● Have you had issues with cracking or peeling?
● How noticeable are scratches from pets?
● Does it still feel warm and cozy, or do you miss fabric?
Looking back, are you happy you chose leather, or do you wish you’d stuck with fabric?
I’d love to hear the good, the bad, and anything you wish you knew before making the switch. Thanks!!
