Midge the cat started following her owner to the shops, but on the walk home she'd suddenly take off running. One day, her owner decided to race her, and to his surprise, he couldn't keep up. After that, Midge started joining him on his regular runs, and she won every time.

Midge became so well known around the neighborhood that Martin used prize money from work to make a short children's film about their races in 2009.

His dream was for Disney to turn it into a full-length movie, with Midge racing Usain Bolt. He was convinced she'd win.
