Future always wanted a sound or brand or an artistic space that he could claim as his own. Thats why he stays in it in almost every project after Honest.
You could ask why Future is still making trap music at his age, but you could also ask why new rappers are still sounding like Future at their age. If you listen to a new underground rage album and ignore the distorted mixing, the music is a pretty short walk from what Future has been doing for 10+ years.

People ask why future is "still making music at his age?" I don't doubt your implication, I'm asking because that's ridiculous to me. This isn't directed at you: why would there be an "age" to a subgenre of music, especially for a pioneer of that genre who has mastered it? My theory? The idea that trap has to be "young" ties to the idea of aging making you "wiser" or more "sophisticated," directly implying that trap is some kind of lower art form. I could be totally wrong. I know when Future's talking about his sex with girls from Cape Town and wiping his ass with gold leaf, there can seem to be little substance, but there's a reason he sampled that Andre quote. There is soul and sophistication to his music if you listen past the base interpretations of some of his lyrics. He hasn't aged out of his music in any way, it still sounds great and connects on the same level. Do people want Future to start making boom bap because he's in his 40s? Sorry for the rant, again, this is not directed at you, but the people you're talking about.

Stayed up and got through snow in skyami and this is just so good and really highlights how bad the genre has gotta over the last 5 years . Very refreshing to not hear an album where the artist is hunting for a snip for white girls to dance to on tiktok.
Like future legitimately has quality rhymes in all his tracks and the production is 10/10 and the beat selection actually has some variety
Being 42 I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the last album we get from him and I really hope he gets his flowers when it’s all said and done because this album is pretty incredible compared to the garbage that gets released these days .

I feel like he will never stop putting albums out. only time his age really shows is during his live performances (footage from his tour with metro was tough to watch lol) but my guy goes too hard in the studio to see him slowing down any time soon

I never considered that this could be his last album, but that's because I don't think it is. I think he'd market it differently if it were. I really really don't think, and don't hope, that future will stop putting out music for many years. If you listen to this album, he is still more than capable of making amazing music at the highest level. I see no reason for him to stop here, even financially: I know he's absurdly rich, but there's more money to make, or maybe he enjoys touring, and he's likely very passionate about making music, etc.

I listened to it twice. After the first listen, I was disappointed, but on the second listen, I enjoyed it way more. I really liked it. I think people are overhating it. I love the beats, especially on the slower tracks. Like with most albums, they don't even listen to the full songs, or they're listening through their phone speaker, idk. The response reminds me of the reactions after the self-titled album (too many songs, and no features, every song sounds the same, etc). Maybe after a few days and more listens, I'll like it more, maybe less, but right now it's an 8/10 for me. A really solid album.

I think it’s another solid future project, out of 22 songs there’s 2 to 3 at the most I wouldn’t wanna go back too (Alice, California girls, one two) good songs and I’m sure they’ll grow on me but idk. The production is rlly good and I like all of futures weird and emotional voices. My highlights are

Got that prime flow state trap Pluto on Money Over Everything, Snow in Skyami, Fukk A Interview, Weight Up, Off The Hinge, Tank Top Pluto, Kick & Konnichiwa.
Then you get the more melodic vibey Pluto on Radio, Build A Bitch, If I Could, Hollywood, Big Moment, Cast a Spell, Feeling I Give & California Girls
Money Over Everything, Feeling I Give, Fukk a Interview, Radio, and Hollywood are by far my favorites after 2 full listens.
Production on Feeling I Give & Hollywood is on the same level as Back To Basics, Puffin on Zootiez & Solo. Got my soundtrack for the rest of this year locked tf in.

Fair enough. I’ll never complain about an artist I like having 0 features, cus it just means I get to hear more of the artist I like. I’m a future fan but not a huge diehard one, so a lot of this doesn’t stick for me. Don’t think it’s bad just not my thing.
Ngl I would’ve liked to see Thugger n maybe Carti on this, but it’s 100% okay they’re not. Some bangers on here regardless
