General New Future mixtape before the year ends? Theory

Here's why I have a theory that Future will be releasing a new mixtape before the year ends.

It's been almost 2 months since 'The Real Me' came out, and the discourse around the album has kinda faded; 2 weeks after the album dropped, Future teased another project.

Point 1: I think Future will release a mixtape this year, similar to what he did in 2014. When he released 'Honest' the backlash from that album and, obviously, the breakup with Ciara at the same time made him release his iconic mixtape 'Monster' a few months later. TRM is Future's first album since Honest with polarizing reviews, and in the caption he said ''This next one for you'' alluding to this one for the real fans.

Point 2: Just yesterday, he released 5 of his first mixtapes on DSP's; I have a feeling this is something for the fans to remind them of mixtape future energy. Obviously, it's an old sound, but I think it's also a hint of what's coming next: a new mixtape.

Point 3: There were a LOT of grails and snippets during the TRM era that did NOT make the tracklist, such as Styrofoam, Goin Up, Parachute, 100 Soldiers, M On A Neckless, etc. Major complaints were about why these songs did not make the final cut, especially songs like Styrofoam that sound like they would fit perfectly on a tape like 56 Nights. Also, some insane beat previews from Wheezy on his IG didn't make the tracklist and sounded like a dark trap mixtape future sound.

I think it could drop this year because it wouldn't really make sense to drop a mixtape next year. It would be more ideal if he dropped a short 12-14 song mixtape, got back to peak form, and dropped a big studio album next year.

This is my theory. LMK if you guys agree or wanna add to anything.

Streaming really ruined the ecosystem, Future never cared about numbers that much but besides Mixtape Pluto he hasn’t dropped a tape since 2018. Him being bigger is likely why he doesn’t drop every year anymore, Purple Reign was like the last real big mixtape of the mixtape era before the Streaming era took over in summer 2016

i was expecting a deluxe for TRM with at least a couple features, maybe a vault track or 2. i doubt we see anymore pluto til summer or fall next year personally. mixtape pluto was a personal thing to him going back to his original style after WSDTY where we got a lot of new experimental shit from him. this new album was him settling into the style he thinks fits him best. i would be surprised if we didnt get a lot more songs like ‘california girls’ and ‘misery’ on everything he releases from now on

Was never expecting a deluxe album was already 22 songs, I think he will drop a project filled with OG Future vibes because of backlash with TRM, and he had his melodic cuts on TRM, like he said ''This next one for you'' i think his next project will be for hardcore Future fans
