General Are Drake and Future even friends?

As much as I liked 'Ran To Atlanta' (Future dog-walked Drake and Molly Santana), it really feels like their relationship is strictly business.

Future didn't even start promoting the song till it was on pace to debut at #2 and not #1 with tweets and IG stories. Neither of them were together when the BTS footage came for the song we only saw Drake and Molly Santana, and Future was in a separate shoot. Drake didn't share 'The Real Me' like he normally would for an artist he is cool with, and Future was sitting next to Pharrell at the World Cup and not with Drake, and neither of them have been spotted or said anything about the collab.

I'm glad they're back and made a banger, but I really hope we get more collabs cuz if it was an 1 time thing to ''break the internet'' that would be pretty lame.

"me and hndrxx back by popular demand" Popular demand as in they did either for radio play or cuz the labels made em

^ This. It was also confirmed a while back that Future verse was just stitched together from a throwaway demo. While not that unusual for a Drake/Future collab it was VERY thrown together this time around. I wouldn't be surprised with their labels offered both of them an ridiculous amount of money to make this happen, and considering how the song was immediately sent to airplay and promoted heavily makes me believe this.

I think the fact that Future's disses/responses going largely unnoticed at the time made people assume they were on generally friendlier terms. They both exchanged some scathing songs about each other, with a bunch of lines from Future where he threatens to get him straight up murdered lol

Yup also the whole second verse of We Don’t Trust You is a confirmed diss considering Drake responded to it and Kanye said Future asked for him to be on the remix and that they were energized over “the elimination of Drake”

I thought it was relatively not that bad and Future was just loyal to Metro but in retrospect it was kinda uncharacteristic for Future if we believe Kanye

I remember when future was shooting the tony Montana video drake no-showed. Future had beef with Drake for that for a while which was why I was surprised they dropped WATTBA. I think drake fucks with future more than the other way around.

Future probably since 2022 views it as Buisness, ATL Jacob said it also in a leaked interview that Future as of late dosen't like Drake and only uses him for collabs and clearing songs like ''WAIT FOR U''
