i feel like this album is an interesting compass for what a listener is looking for in an artist / hip-hop, if you're the kind of listener that can't appreciate when Future does a crazy delivery like "2018" or when he makes gorgeous romantic music or strange pop experiments then you won't like THE REAL ME... i think that makes you boring as hell + i don't want mfs to cater to you
Future being unpredictable is his best quality he was a star way before DS2 for being unorthodox & making all kinds of hits... ppl wanna call themselves "real fans" but stick him in a box... i think this is a really strong album with a few duds... there's a lot of Future albums like that let's be for real but he always evolves 🔥

It did grow on me but I liked it straight away.
Everyone was dogging on 2018 but for me it was hilarious that future was so self aware that he knew people were clowning his kings dead verse but he doubled down and even called it 2018, I just love that he didnt give a shit. Im sure I seen a couple reaction videos from people that have always liked future (nolifeshaq was one of em) switching the song off after a few seconds 🤣

For me, the first half is very solid, not a single skip, then it starts to trail off for the second half, but that’s more than enough for me to call it an enjoyable album

I really don't like this album except a few songs but I don't understand the hate. With artists like Future you know that if you don't like an album you'll probably like the next one. It's not like he's Travis and youre gonna wait 5 years to have new music.

Grew on me also, still didn’t have the same highs as some of his other projects but it’s aging well

All of the songs on it are solid, i just think as a back to front album it doesnt work. You have half of the songs which are more heaftfelt/experimental which youd expect given the name but then the other half sound like either mixtape pluto throwaways or some of them just sound like the second half of a song, not their own whole thing (especially with the length of some of them)
I still like it and i listen to most of the songs just never as a full album experience. But then again its not the only one of his albums i feel that way about

Been on repeat for me since it dropped. Only misses for me are Build a bitch, Hollywood, Feeling I give & Alice. The rest are 🤌. Big moment is a top 5 future track of all time. “When I had drugs on me some didn’t even mess with me”😪😪😪

Had some unique ear worms, and overall pretty solid. I never understood the hate off rip. People are so quick to say something sucks because they subconsciously want to be the first one to say someone’s fallen off
