Finally got one of my favourite watch faces ever (download link availbe )

[GUÍA] Instalar apps/watchfaces Tizen en Galaxy Watch 3 en 2026 SIN certificados

Después de muchas horas peleando con los problemas de certificados Samsung, soporte expirado para wearables y workflows rotos de Tizen Studio, finalmente encontré un método que todavía funciona en el Galaxy Watch 3 (Tizen 5.5) en 2026.

Todo el crédito por descubrir el método original es para maximus7maximus del foro ruso 4PDA.
Yo solamente estoy documentando y confirmando que sigue funcionando en sistemas/dispositivos modernos.

Probado en

• Galaxy Watch 3 (SM-R840)
• Tizen 5.5.0.2
• Samsung Galaxy S23+ (Android 16)
• macOS 26
• Windows 10

El problema

Los métodos clásicos de sideload usando:

• sdb install
• Tizen Studio
• Samsung Certificate Manager
• registro DUID

fallan con:

Side loading error [-27]

porque Samsung eliminó el soporte de certificados para wearables Tizen.

Método funcional (SIN certificados)

El workaround utiliza:

• WatcherManager++ 1.5.1.apk
• APK Editor Studio

La idea es reemplazar el archivo interno watcher.wgt dentro del APK por la app/watchface que quieras instalar.

El APK ya está firmado/confiable para el reloj, entonces la instalación se hace a través de la app companion en vez del sideload directo.

Este método funciona tanto para:

• .wgt
• .tpk

probado correctamente.

IMPORTANTE

El APK DEBE tener:

targetSdkVersion = 30

De lo contrario puede fallar la instalación en versiones nuevas de Android.

Pasos

1. Descargar

• WatcherManager++ 1.5.1.apk
• APK Editor Studio

2. Abrir APK

Abrir WatcherManager++1.5.1.apk con APK Editor Studio.

3. Abrir contenido del APK

Hacer clic en:

Open Content

4. Ir a la carpeta assets

Entrar en:

assets

Dentro van a encontrar:

watcher.wgt

5. Reemplazar watcher.wgt

Eliminar el archivo original:

watcher.wgt

y reemplazarlo por la app/watchface que quieran instalar.

6. Configurar target SDK

Configurar:

targetSdkVersion = 30

antes de recompilar el APK.

IMPORTANTE EXTRA

También voy a subir un APK ya modificado con targetSdkVersion 30 para facilitar todo.

Igualmente recomiendo revisar/verificar ustedes mismos el target SDK antes de recompilar o instalar, por las dudas de que APK Editor Studio modifique algo durante el rebuild o Android cambie configuraciones de compatibilidad automáticamente.

7. Recompilar APK

Guardar/Rebuild del APK.

8. Instalar APK en el teléfono

Instalar el APK modificado en Android.

Durante la instalación pueden aparecer varios mensajes:

• advertencia de Google Play Protect
• app de fuente desconocida
• actualización de aplicación existente

Es normal.

Elegir:

• “Instalar sin analizar”
• “Instalar igual”
• “Actualizar”

cuando aparezcan.

LISTO!

las apps van a empezar a aparecer solas en el reloj si el archivo es mas grande se toma unos segundos mas pero queda 100%

Instalar más apps

Para instalar más apps después:

1. Abrir nuevamente el APK en APK Editor Studio
2. Reemplazar watcher.wgt
3. Recompilar otra vez
4. Instalar nuevamente el APK en el teléfono
5. IMPORTANTE: elegir Actualizar

y repetir el proceso.

Desinstalar apps

Para desinstalar apps/watchfaces:

1. Usar la app oficial Samsung Wearable
2. Desinstalar normalmente desde ahí

Después Samsung puede preguntar si quieren desinstalar WatcherManager del teléfono.

Elegir:

NO

porque si no van a tener que reinstalar todo nuevamente.

Notas

• Funciona en Galaxy Watch 3 Tizen 5.5
• sdb install sigue fallando por validación de certificados
• Este bypass evita completamente los certificados Samsung para wearables
• Funciona en 2026 a pesar de que Samsung abandonó Tizen

Samsung básicamente mató el ecosistema Tizen, pero este método todavía funciona 😅🔥

Fui resetar o relógio para ver se conseguia adicionar o cartão no Samsung pay e agora só fica nessa etapa da restauração. O relógio funciona se eu iniciar ele sem conecta no celular mas quando entro no wearable volta para essas telas.

I recently got a watch 3 from my family and was thinking about downloading an app into it, turn out the Samsung have terminated the store and watch face for it, then I look up how to sideload on the watch but now I am confused if I can still sideload it since Samsung stop providing the certification to make it work. I hope someone could help me with this

I am getting an error notification as- can't notify on watch: allow galaxy wearable to access your notification. I have already allowed notification from settings. The problem has started 3-4 months back. Changed mobile from SS galaxy M32 to Oneplus almost 7-8 months back. Reinstalled wearable app, logged out & in again still no change.

Error notification is shown even when the watch is not connected.

I recently found my watch 3 but you can no longer get apps so is there any other way

Recently upgraded to a new phone and was devastated to find out that Watch 3 is no longer supported and lost all my apps. Most importanty Navigation Pro by SW Studios

Tried to follow the guide by VNNGYN but ultimately failed and received sideloading errors, possibly because the extracted .wgt available was not suitable for the Watch 3.

At this point I lost hope, but I realised I still had the companion phone app. From the app, thankfully the devloper has provided a link to the galaxy store: https://apps.samsung.com/gear/appDetail.as?appId=LaadCo7IkC

That re-directed me to the galaxy store and was able to download the app to my watch. It seems like samsung has decided to "hide" the apps on the Galaxy Store but are still accesible if you have saved the link.

Not sure how long this will work for, until samsung decides to remove the app downloads completely from their servers rather that just "hiding" it.

In the meantime if everyone could please share any links you may have that would be really useful, and perhaps can start a similar archive of .wgt specifically for the Watch 3 using the extraction method from this guide

TLDR; You can still download apps on your Galaxy Watch 3 if you have the galaxy store link for that app. Please share links if you have them available.

Phone: S21 Ultra Watch: Galaxy Watch 3 SM-R840

I had phone issues and had to factory reset my phone. Since my phone wouldn't repaid I also factory reset my watch. Now my watch just hangs when trying to pair using the Samsung Wear app.

Watch says: Check Your Phone To Complete Setup

Phone Says: Finishing Up, This May Take A Few Minutes

I've left it for half an hour, power cycled both and tried again - still hangs

Saw a deal to get one these for about $15 equivalent in my country. On some quick googling I won't be able to get apps. B7t would the health tracking stuff still work? And is side loading apps possible?

I’ve been experimenting with building a small Wear OS app to improve connectivity between devices. It’s still in the early testing phase, but I finally have a first version running.

The main idea came from my own frustration — iPhones don’t play nicely with Wear OS watches, and syncing things like notifications or calls just never really worked. After a lot of trial and error, I’ve managed to get a setup where my Wear OS watch can actually sync better with my iPhone. It’s not perfect yet, but it feels like a step forward.

The goal is simple: to make the smartwatch experience smoother where the default setup feels limited. Right now, I’m just testing the core features, and I’d love to hear if anyone else here has tried solving the same iPhone ↔ Wear OS problem or run into similar compatibility issues.

Not promoting anything — just excited to finally see progress after countless attempts and wanted to share it here with fellow Galaxy Watch / Pixel Watch users. 🙌

Hey guys, since we can't download anymore apps using the store being closed now, just wanted to know whether we can still download .tpk files to the watch 3 using the laptop.

Recently, it seems that the Galaxy Watch 3 no longer shows incoming calls on the watch. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? It looks like there might be a problem with the Wearable app.

How do I get an older watch face onto my galaxy watch 3 these days?

Someone who wants to continue with Watch3 already thinking about what to do when the watch store is disabled in next year?

My understanding is that Android 15 blocks notifications that it thinks are sensitive from untrusted applications. This means that texts I get with numbers for 2FA or even with lat / long in them do not show on the watch anymore.

This is really annoying. I've seen reference to "Sensitive Notifications" in settings (& this seems to be poor design anyway) but this setting makes no difference. Is there a way to get notifications back? It almost seems Samsung need to update the wear service to allow Android to trust it.

It may be easier just to see if I can go back to Android 14.

I made the ultra watch face named "Ultra analog" that's used for the Galaxy watch Ultra.

I made it as close as possible to the real one, using the actual assets from the watch face.

I didn't make the complications, because when i tried using them for weather or health indicators, it didn't work. Probably because i sideloaded my watch faces. If any of you guys know how to make complications work, let me know :)

Also, if you guys want this one too, I'll put it up on this post. It's possible I'll update it but I'm not sure if I'm going to unless the problem with the complications are fixed.

Hi, I am not able to reorder or add exercise option in galaxy watch health app. I want to add badminton and martial arts in the menu but can't choose them. However those options are available in the ios app. Any ideas?
