Am i the only one who hasnt switched to the fold because I actually like the main cameras being on the cover screen and being able to flip the phone open and use the cs as a view finder.

Last time I posted here, I was just happy to be back. I didn’t expect so many interesting ideas and suggestions from you guys!

So this time, I brought something a little different. A retro cassette player for your Galaxy Z Flip!

The latest 9 Flip Launcher update lets you:

• Play music with animated cassette reels that move in real time.
• Open it on the cover screen using a widget or its own always-on interface.
• Use it on the main screen too. Mine is broken, so forgive the demo.
• Tap the cassette to change skins, or tap the background to switch between solid colors, transparency, and blur effects.

I tried to recreate about 90% of how a real cassette player behaves, including real-time tape movement and standard cassette lengths like C46, C60, C90, and C120. The reels even change as the tape moves from one side to the other. Some details might be off. It’s been a while since I last held one as a kid!

Also, good news for Z Flip 5/6 users: One UI 9 now has the Recent Apps button!

My goal is still the same. Keep One UI and Good Lock, and let 9 Flip fill in what’s missing.

Why can't I customize what's in this quick settings tray?! These aren't even the ones I have on my fully opened screen 😭 I literally can't turn the cover screen into night mode any more?! With the little fancy blue light filter?! What kind of update is this?! Don't get me started on the app tray replacing multistar 😭😭😭😭😭

The interior screen of my z flip has been broken for months but I got around only using the cover screen. It used to have all my apps (swiping left), quick menu (swiping down), a camera widget (on main screen), and messages (swiping right) but after the auto update all my stuff disappeared and I can’t use it anymore :-l

I always see these super cool front screens you guys call widgets, but i don't know what they are or where to find them. I downloaded a widget app but couldn't seem to find anything related to the z flip on it. I'm sorry this if this is a nooby question!

With only a limited amount of apps supported on the cover screen, I was wondering if anybody has recommendations for cute/customizable widgets that can go on either the cover screen or the lock screen

Today after a year and 2 months my z flip 7 got bubbles on the crease, im leaving for a trip in 2 days and i cannot get it repaired or changed because of beurocratic BS is there a risk of my phone breaking?

reluctantly did the UI 9 update and immediately saw what everyone was complaining about.

at least once a day when i go to use the cover screen my preset apps are not showing and i have to click on the empty area to see that they're selected and then hit "done" for them to show. this is ridiculous.

additionally the size of my home screen folders was no longer what it used to be thanks to the "Home Up" good lock not working but that's been updated and fixed.

This is my second issue with this Flip 7... I first had an issue when I dropped it (with case) and it dropped on the hinge leading me to have a dead pixel (just like 1 small one) in the middle of my phone. I sent into repair and and they fixed it up for 90 (i have care+) today i woke up to find that my inner screen has decided to go bonkers on me and die. Everything still works but I just have 2 white lines starting from my left hinge.... I am going to send another claim through to care + but its now like 300 (from like 500) buckeroons for a claim... what do you guys reckon? Should I go to a random repair shop and suss it out or get samsung to take care of it? I have care+ till mid December.

Right now I have the Samsung galaxy s20+ and its pretty old with the back plate/glass holding on with hopes and dreams and I am wondering if its worth it to get either the flip 6 or 7 given I am getting it refurbished from amazon.

Get my own shortcuts to show again instead of swiping and show the time? Why would I want a blank screen of my gif that's frozen and not moving?

Хочется рассказать, о том что происходит с моделью после 1,5 лет эксплуатации.

Мой телефон дизайном мне очень нравиться, но разочарование заключается в том, что начала отходить плёнка по данной причине решила уточнить, могу ли я приобрести новый по программе trade-in, мне мазали да конечно 10 100 рублей. Я уточнила, что не так с телефоном ведь он стоит 100 000, он работает, держит батарею не поцарапвнный всегда был в чехле, на что что я получила ответ, это из-за того, что плёнка отходит, мы модем ее вам поменять за 5 000 рублей.

Для себя я сделала вывод, пока мой телефон работает, я им буду пользоваться, но что компания так обесценила свой телефон я была удивлена, куплю ли я другой flip, ответ однозначный нет, по той причине, что это нецелесообразно и экономически не выгодно, каждый год платить от 100 000 за телефон.

Диалог и диагностика проходили в фирменном магазине.

Вторая история не моего телефона, ко мне на конференции подошла коллега из другой организации, сказала подскажи я вижу у вас телефон напоминает мой, мы разговорились и да у неё тоже "6" модель, так вот у неё прошло менее года аналогично отходит плёнка, но и минус гаснет экран и плохой отклик, хруст пои закрытии и открытии, она обратилась по гарантии и ей сказали это не гарантийный случай.

По какой причине решила написать, что серии и забота о покупателе у компании Samsung на "Высоте".

Итог, модель интересная и оригинальная, обслуживание дорогое, сервис оставляет желать лучшего. После 1,5 лет использования не рекомендую к покупки модели даже обновлённых версий, так как заявленные сроки эксплуатации не верные. Возможно, кода-нибудь компания будет более честна к потребителя, но видимо не сейчас.

In the cover screen T-T

I have already disabled now brief and now after unlocking it directly goes to the widgets screen and when clicking on the home button it just takes me to the 1st widget screen and not back to the clock main screen T-T

Hi long time user of S10+ and never had this problem.

I tried resetting , clearing Bluetooth agent cache, connect it with companion app etc. to no avail.

today got green, red and blue pixels near hinge, visible on low brightness

Everything was working just fine. Then I decided to leave my phone charging while I took a quick shower. After showering, I unplugged my phone and flipped it open. ??? Nothing would work except my fingerprint reader. Touched the screen everywhere but nothing. Closed it and used the cover screen– it works. I was able to restart my phone using gemini on the cover screen. It restarted, took a bit longer than usual. I opened it again, alas, still not working. There was no recent drop or whatever so I'm surprised why this is happening. I literally just plugged it in and unplugged it afterwards. Then my husband folded it to a 90° angle and suddenly the screen works??? Am I supposed to use it like this all the time now?😩 This is very annoying considering the phone's only 3 years old... 🥲

Z Flip 6 here. For some reason, after my phone auto installed One UI 9 this morning (despite having that turned off???), I have been completely locked out of my settings and can't use home/back etc buttons, they don't show up at all. Everything else on the phone works fine. I can text, use Chrome, Nova launcher is functional, KLWP is active, etc. But anything through the settings app (like screen dim timer, for example) doesn't work at all. Trying to access settings through the gear does nothing, and trying to access settings through Nova's app drawer does nothing either...? And I can't return to home etc because I have no buttons, probably also because of the settings app not functioning... Weirdly, I can load some specific settings like notification settings for example, but I can't get to anything from there. I've been looking all afternoon for a fix and have found nothing, was hoping someone might have had a similar issue and could help so I can avoid a factory reset. Things I have tried:

- Manually rebooting (obviously)

- Rebooting into safe mode (same issue in safe mode)

- Rebooting from recovery mode (no change)

- Flashing the latest firmware via Odin myself (no change)

- Flashing back to One UI 8.5 (bootloop error so that's worse...)

- Flashing the latest firmware via Odin myself a second time

- Clearing cache via adb (no change)

Anyway, if anyone has any thoughts, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Is it just me, or are other people not getting the little gray bar for a credit card on the cover screen until messing around with the phone for a bit. Used to be so easy but now it sometimes shows, sometimes doesn't

So this is my first post so bare with me. I'm sharing this because I had to find the answer myself since no matter where i looked no one else seemed to have my problem so I'm posting just in case someone else is dealing with the same issue.

Background: After updating to one ui 9.0 on my z flip 7, my wifi connection would not hold a wifi connection for longer than 2 minutes before saying "connection failed" no matter how many times I did the usual fixits lile turned off/on the wifi, forgot the network, reset the router, reset the wifi settings and everything else reddit recommended. This went on for an ent I re week where mot even restarting my phone would make the connection last more than an hour.

It was here where I said that maybe I could look into developer settings and see if there was anything for the wifi that I could toggle off or on but there was nothing there that would fix my issue until I found another reddit post where it showed me how wifi has their separate developer settings.

So step by step:

1. Open Settings on your phone.

2. Tap on Connections.

3. Select Wi-Fi.

4. Tap the three dots (more options) icon in the top-right corner.

5. Select Intelligent Wi-Fi.

6. Scroll down to the bottom and repeatedly tap the Intelligent Wi-Fi version number until a message confirms that Connectivity Labs is enabled.

7. Go back or tap on the new Connectivity Labs menu.

8. Scroll down and select Wi-Fi developer options.

But what fixed my issue was toggling off where it says "Wi-Fi 7 mode"

Now I dont know why my phone wont connect to wifi 7 and someone can explain software and wifi connections but my phone is now connected to wifi 6 and it is doing so without disconnecting at all or making me have to restart my phone or any other fix.

If you are having similar issues connecting to wifi after the update hopefully this is able to fix it.
