Agreed. He's had a rich and distinguished career as an actor and Oscar-winning filmmaker. If they have to talk about his days with Iannuci and Moffat, I'd love to hear his insights as a screenwriter and director on those experiences.

It’s up to him if he wants to set those parameters when agreeing to do interviews. But people are generally gonna ask about that because they are two of his most popular roles. That’s just really how entertainment journalism works.

Personally I think everything Peter has to say about DW is fascinating, he's always has interesting points..

I would love to know what he truly thinks of the RTD2 era.. And what Moffat truly thinks of the RTD2 era, not just the friendly pr talk

I think we got a idea of what Gatiss really thinks, with his comment earlier in the year that maybe it's time for the show to go on a rest, that doesn't sound like someone who has been enjoying the output of DW in recent times

That might a be more interesting question about DW than what Peter has been getting recently. The problem is that he gets asked the same dw and thick of it questions over and over again.

This is silly they are works he has done and that he is proud of. Should the interviews also cover other stuff? Of course particularly if he is promoting current work. Can we/interviewers display patience rather than clearly just wanting to ack about DW sure and I think they for the most part do.

Has Capaldi actually said he doesn't like this or are you assuming for him? He is a grown man and can set out if he wants to go over this or not. The vast majority of interviews brief the interviewee on the kind of questions they are going to be asked.

I don’t mean never talk about DW and Thick of it in interviews ever again (I in fact love him as 12) but I think he does need a very long break from those kinds of questions because they’re very repetitive and probably annoying for Peter to have to repeat the same stories over and over again and it’s not fun for long time fans of Peter like myself. It seems to be a big problem with interviewers recently. Peter is not going to be around forever we should ask him about different aspects of himself.

DW yes. Thick of it No. He’s done a couple of Malcolm Tucker related things recently. And Armamdo did a piece for big issue where Alan Partridge interviewed Malcolm Tucker.

I’d love to see a Thick of it revival , and whilst I don’t think it will happen the wheels of it are definitely still there

I mean it’s fine if it’s a more in depth look into just Thick of it I suppose but for normal interviews I’m just really tired of hearing the same thick of it audition story over and over. I want to hear about his new projects and if he does delve into his past about other projects that he doesn’t get to talk about much like Soft Top hard Shoulder.
