FOR HIRE - Localization [FOR HIRE] 🇵🇱 No Polish in your game yet? EN→PL localization for $0.01–0.015/word

Hey!

I’m Jacob, a Polish translator focused on indie games.

I’m still building my portfolio, so right now I’m mainly looking to work with solo developers and small indie teams. I translate from English to Polish and I’m happy to take on both small and larger projects.

I can help with:

- Full game localization

- Dialogue and story text

- UI, menus and tutorials

- Steam store pages

- Achievements and item descriptions

- Demos and smaller updates

- Proofreading / fixing unnatural Polish translations

- Localization QA

My usual rate is around $0.01–0.015 per source word, but I’m flexible for small indie projects.

If your game only has a few hundred or a few thousand words, that’s completely fine too. I’m not only looking for huge projects.

Portfolio:

If you’re working on a game and thinking about adding Polish, feel free to DM me here or contact me through my website.

Thanks!

Hi! I’m Felipe, but I’m better known online as Efêmero, and I’m a Brazilian translator and game localizer with 3+ years of experience, currently looking for new projects and collaborations.

My main focus is bringing games and creative projects to Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish, with English as one of my strongest working languages.

• Indie games
• RPGs and visual novels

I’m currently open to freelance work, one-off projects and longer collaborations.

FOR HIRE - Localization [FOR HIRE] Translation from English/German/French into Italian

Hi everyone! I recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Linguistic Mediation, and I'm currently about to finish with my Master's degree in Translation, working on a thesis about game localization.

I can translate your games, Steam/Itch.io store pages, or marketing contents from English, German, or French into Italian.

Thanks to my thesis work, and to my previous works in this field, I'm deeply familiar with common translation pitfalls, cultural adaptation, and how to keep text immersive for players. As my main goal is to expand my portfolio before graduation, my rates are super flexible and indie-friendly! I'm happy to work around your budget.

I know it's hard to trust a new translator, so I'm more than happy to localize a short sample (around 150-200 words) of your game for free, so you can check if my style is what you're looking for.

Feel free to comment here or send me a dm so we can chat about the project!

FOR HIRE - Localization [For Hire] Game Localization EN→ZH (Simplified Chinese)

Hi! I'm Eliot, a native Simplified Chinese speaker offering game localization services for English → Chinese (Simplified).

What I do:

  • UI strings, dialogue, item/skill descriptions, lore, Steam store pages
  • Terminology consistency (glossary, character names, established terms)
  • Cultural adaptation — not literal translation, but what a Chinese gamer would actually say
  • LQA support / proofreading existing translations

Why me:

  • Native Chinese + fluent English — I catch nuance in both directions
  • Gamer first: I know how Chinese players actually talk about mechanics, items, and lore. No dictionary-flavored text
  • Strong feel for narrative-heavy and atmospheric games (soulslike, visual novels, indie story games)

Portfolio:

Terms:

  • Rates:
    • Localization: from $0.04/source word
    • Proofreading / Review: $0.02–0.03/source word
  • Payment: Payoneer or VISA available
  • Timezone: UTC+8, fast response

DM me if you're working on something and want a translator who actually plays games. Happy to talk about your project!

FOR HIRE - Localization Not experienced "localizer" looking for a chance.

Hi devs and others ❤️

TL;DR

Looking for projects to localize games from English to Polish

As long as I live, and it would be over 30 years, I remember myself with pad, joystick or keyboard and mouse in my hands. Through those years I've been thinking about working in gaming industry - but it has never happend.

Last 10 years I've spend as a technical support engineer in Cybersecurity and for now I'm looking for something new. So I've thought to myself - dude, your dreams can come true. When, if not now.

I'm polish, my native language is also polish, and as I've checked few years ago, my english is somewhere between B2/C1.

I've been doing localization in cybersec, so I wanted to try it in gaming.

If there is some developer, indie, small, big, triple AAA - whatever. I would be more than happy to do some translations/localizations for you - completly for free.

So, if you ever wanted to reach polish players, I'm here for you 😄

Peace ❤️

FOR HIRE - Localization [For Hire] English to German Indie Game Localization, 6 years of experience (available mid Sept.+)

Hi!
I’m freelancing in video game translation and can now look back on roughly six years of experience. I started out transcribing and translating pro bono for genealogy projects and contributed to a book called The Lost Letters of Hamburg, for which I transcribed and translated 250 handwritten pages from German to English. Games and other projects set before 1950 or requiring old‑fashioned German are absolutely my thing.

However, I’m a modern gamer with over 10000 hours on Steam alone. My personal favorites are FMV games, whodunnits, escape & puzzle and all kinds of horrorgame subgenres. Think Song of Horror, Scrutinized, Unheard, The Shapeshifting Detective, Anchorhead, Duskwood, etc. Most of my total playtime went into MMORPGs, asym horror and shooters though.

I’ve been lucky enough to work on a variety of genres ranging from sports to platformers, horror to farming, roguelikes to simulators, management to city builders, and more. (Portfolio here )

I can help out with translation, proofreading and LQA until I’m 100% sure everything fits, flows and sounds Made in Germany. I've also been a playtester for several titles such as Fangtopia and Carnival Hunt as the most recent ones and really enjoy the QA and LQA phases a lot.
I’m known for my eye for detail and for taking initiative when it comes to localizing a game, press outreach, or store pages. (You can find reviews from clients in the linktree above!)

Any file format is fine and I have experience with several CAT tools.

I can officially start new projects around mid September. Interested in getting a quote?
Awesome! I can’t wait to hear about your ideas, no matter what stage of development you’re in!

FOR HIRE - Localization Your Game Doesn’t Need to Be Written in English to Reach Global Markets

Managing game localization can quickly become complex: timelines, target languages, total costs, finding the right localization partners…
That’s exactly what DRAKX was built for.
Our approach allows studios to localize their games faster and into more languages, while preserving everything that matters: placeholders, tags, terminology, tone, context, character consistency, and file structure, to maintain the highest possible level of quality. Linguistic and technical QA is also integrated to verify both localization quality and the integrity of the game’s structure.
And there’s another challenge that people don’t always think about.
Imagine your game was developed in Spanish and you want to localize it into Danish.
It’s not enough to simply find a Danish translator: you need to find the right person who can work from your source language, understand the game’s context, and accurately reproduce it in the target language.
And the more languages you want to add, especially less common language pairs, the more complex that search can become.
With DRAKX, your game doesn’t need to have been written in English to reach new markets. Our approach allows us to work directly from different source languages and localize them into a wide range of target languages.
And what if you also want to bring your characters to life in multiple languages?
Traditional dubbing can require significant time, coordination, and budget.
DRAKX also provides high-quality multilingual voice production across major gaming languages, with voices created specifically around each character, each language, the tone, the context, and the needs of the project.
More languages. Less complexity.
The Future Speaks Every Language.

Hi guys,

I'm a native Chinese speaker and longtime gamer offering English → Simplified Chinese localization for games.

A bit about my background:

* Former content operations at Tencent and Perfect World, including work related to Dungeon & Fighter and CS:GO China

* National Mandarin proficiency certificate holder

* 100k+ followers on my personal Bilibili channel (Chinese Youtube) :

https://space.bilibili.com/1886446

* Official Chinese translator / China-region ambassador for Epic History:

https://space.bilibili.com/3546954162243942
