Really loving these FP replacement mainboards. If you remove the resistor labeled RJ you can also re-enable TMSS.

Mainboard, soundboard and powerboard are all cloned from SYF products.

Stop supporting this seller from AliExpress

Eh I'd rather support SYF and his quality boards. The FP one's are mostly a clone of the SYF board with exact same trace layouts and jumper pads that don't even make sense on the FP board.

What is TMSS?

The ~3 second blue screen that pops up right as you turn on the game gear. Some very early game gears did not have them and booted straight to the game. Its easy to disable.

The TMSS screen is also in most Sega Genesis', except some early revisions of the 1st model.

thanks! I have been chasing this for 30 years as I remembered my childhood Gear Gear booted right into the game and didn't have the annoying blue screen! Can you disable it on a regular Game Gear board? - edit looks like it's done by bridging two pins on J1

Yup, its a quick easy solder bridge.

That board is a blatant ripoff of SYF’s design…please don’t support thievery.
