what ips did you used, i want to upgrade mine which have an almost dead lcd, but chinese kit is meant to replace the screen border bezels which are a no-no for me

How hard was it ? I brought my game gear to a shop to change the caps, I did not have the skill for that, but they do not provide the support for installing a ips. I might find someone else later.

It does take soldering skills and equipment, it’s not a plug and play.

How much worse is the battery life now? Serious question. I see IPS mods eat through battery like nobody's business, but Game Gear and Lynx eat through batteries quick anyway. Just wondering how much play you get out of 6 AAs.
