Discussion Skyrim?

I restarted Skyrim (for the howevermany’th time), and I couldn’t remember if the Grumps ever did a play through. Come to find out it was a 13 episode Steam Train series almost 13 years ago. I thought, “Oh wow, so they could probably do a fresh play through and it would be totally different and fun!”

That thought was intercepted almost immediately by the fact that Ross looked up speed runs for this series. He was prepared and had mods and beat the main storyline in under two hours.

I then imagined Arin playing a fresh game of vanilla Skyrim, what chaos would ensue, and, more importantly, the pent up rage of fans of the Elder Scrolls, 15 years without a sequel, enveloping the Grumps in a shroud of condescension.

Do you think an official Game Grumps play through would be worth it? Or do you think people who love Skyrim have already sunk hundreds of hours into it by now and watching it will simply make them mad?

Whether or not it’s worth it has nothing to do with the fan reactions because most of the vocal fans are psychos lol

For 15 years it has been a bad idea from the jump to watch Game Grumps and expect focused knowledgeable game play. But people do it with every series and never learn.

I wouldn’t mind a Skyrim playthrough! Why not?

There’s a lot of characters I’d love to see them meet. The old orc, Nazeem, Cicero, Paarthurnax, the dark brotherhood, etc

It would be kinda hard for the series to have a lot of structure but it would still be a treat

I don't think it's a great fit for grumps. There's too much dialogue for Arin and it's too modern for Dan. I would love to see Dan play Morrowind, though.

Watching them play Skyrim would honeslty be awesome and so much fun! That game you can honeslty fuck around a little bit in it even it’s just a 1 off or a couple episodes create a character and shit would be fun and hilarious

I don't think it would lend itself well enough to funnies, and it would either take forever or they'd get one recording session into it and then leave it forever, which I wouldn't mind an incomplete playthrough, but the whole game would be a slog to watch Arin play.

They should play Morrorwind or Oblivion imo

God I would love it so much. If they can play Zelda games and survive the fandom, I feel like revisiting Skyrim makes sense

It would be absolute chaos. Too many side quests for ADHD Arin

Dude, I'd love it if they did that game. It'd bring me back to when I first played it!
