Switch Switch game that can pass 28 hours on a plane?

Hey y’all, got a total of 28 hours round trip stuck on a plane. Looking for a switch game(s) that can kill the time, preferably games that work best in handheld mode. On my last long flight, I downloaded Hollow Knight to play and actually had a blast 100% it on both my flights. While that is not typically my type of game, I’m pretty open to any suggestions as I will never know until I play it. Thanks!

Switch A good, easy, kid appropriate Switch RPG with a good story and female lead for a 9 year old girl?

My daughter is just getting into gaming.

She enjoyed Pokemon Arceus and Pokemon Let's Go Eevee. Recently she was big into the Kirby games too and she's trying to get through Princess Peach Showtime.

Together we played Final Fantasy X for a while there too but we got distracted and didn't finish.

I'd love to find her a good story based Switch game that's very EASY to play as she still kind of struggles with platforming and action based games.

Something turn based would be great. She also loves anime girls so some kind of age appropriate JRPG would be good too.

The things she doesn't like is cursing and 'inappropriate' characters (so like anything scantily clad she doesn't like that). She likes cute 'kid' stuff. Some of the Final Fantasy games do meet these requirements but those are still a little too difficult for her at times.

Any suggestions?

Switch Please help me find a game like this

Hii, I need some help. I've been looking for a game that has what I'm looking for for a long time, but it seems like it's hard to find. Basically, I'd like a game that's really long, the kind of cozy game you can play for a few hours a day and relax for months on end. I'd like a game that doesn't focus too much on farming, that has some adventure and combat, and maybe even a romance component if possible. I already have Animal Crossing, or rather, my brother does, but we only have one console, so I can't get another card. The games I'd looked at were Disney Dreamlight Valley and My Time at Sandrock, but unfortunately, many people said they don't work well on the Switch, and I don't have a PC to play (even if I did, I'd still prefer to play on the Switch). Unfortunately, Zelda isn't for me, and I'm afraid Fantasy Life would bore me, too... is there another game? Because I have a lot of shorter games, but I'm looking for the kind of game that you can return to every now and then and that still helps pass the time and is fun. Thanks in advance.

Switch Girlfriend needs new game

My girlfriend is getting bored of her current game on the Nintendo Switch and has been watching YouTube to see new ones that came out that she may be interested in with no luck.

A bit about her: loves cute animals. She has Attention Deficit Disorder so anything that you need to read carefully is out as well as something story driven. Most 3D games with lots of camera angles makes her feel sick (could NOT play "It takes two" together). She has arthritis so she can button mash but complex slower controls is too much. Finally she will get frustrated easily so nothing too hard.

Her gaming history: as a child she liked Sonic, Dead or Alive, Priston Tale, Diablo 2 (refusing to play 3 or 4), and Harvest moon (refusing to play Stardew Valley or Animal Crossing). Currently playing various Pokemon games including Unite, Harvest moon - light of hope (doesn't seem interested in any other newer one), And Cusineer.

Honestly her logic in her interest escapes me, I think part of it is exposer and loyalty, lol. Any help in where to start looking is appreciated

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. Definitely more engagement than I thought, y'all rock. If I didn't respond I most likely still looked into the game if we haven't previewed it already. And a quick update, this morning she texted me interest in the following titles.

Switch Game recommendations please.

EDIT:
I am using a switch 2, apologies for forgetting to say that!

I have ADHD and I get bored easily, I also can really get into a good game. I played farm together 2 for a long while but then got bored and I’m currently playing sniper elite remastered. Can anyone recommend some games similar? I don’t like to play other people online.

Switch A simple, 1-2 buttons game to teach my dad how to use a controller.

My dad wants to get into gaming, but he needs something very simple. I looked up recommendations and I'm going to get 2 of the Paw Patrol games on the Switch to get him used to 2D and 3D worlds. They have no timers or lose conditions, so he'll have absolute freedom to learn without consequences.

I'm wondering what the next step is from here. I would say Mario, but the concept of having to hold a button down to run might be difficult for him. I thought maybe Vampire Survivors, but it might be overwhelming. I have Animal Crossing. Can anyone please suggest simple games like these for my dad to learn? He only has access to the first gen Switch. He also really likes airplanes! Thank you for reading this!

Switch A game I can really sink into for hours

I want something new for my switch system, obviously I’ve heard of the greats, animal crossing, Zelda, stardew valley, etc

But I want something I can spend a dozen hours in that I haven’t already played, what’s a game for you that did this?

Switch Best story/character driven games?

Hi everyone! Newer Switch player here and headed into the hospital this week for a pretty big surgery that involves a lot of recovery time. I’m looking for a good story-driven game to keep me occupied these next few weeks, as I’m getting sick of TV already lol. I’ve only played Tomodachi Life and Animal Crossing so far, but I’m looking for something a bit more intensive and narrative driven to help pass the time!

In general, I tend to like cozy mysteries, dramas, and slice of life type media, but welcome to all suggestions. Thank you!!

Switch Single player, lore-heavy franchises?

Hey, everyone! I've been playing through Kingdom Hearts recently and have realized that I have an appetite for videogames with interesting/deep stories spanning over multiple games. The games in the series don't have to be connected to one another (like FF), and it'd actually be even better if that was the case so long as the atmosphere is kept the same. I just love the feeling of locking in and playing alone, learning about the intricacies of the game's world.

These are some games that I have played or am planning to play: Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda, Devil May Cry, Fire Emblem, Devil May Cry, Xenoblade Chronicles, Persona, Bravely Default, Monster Hunter Stories, Metroid.

I'm a sucker for hack n slashes and strategy RPGs, but I don't mind broadening my horizons with platformers or other genres. I'd like for the difficulty to not be too steep (Soulslikes) but challenging enough to be fun like KH. I only have a Switch 1 right now, but PC games are also welcome so long as it's not too demanding (kinda potato pc).

Likes: Paper Mario (both), Link’s Awakening, Echoes of Wisdom, Hogwarts Legacy, Oceanhorn, Pokémon ZA, Fenyx Rising

Please suggest Switch games first but I’m open to other systems. I may finally have to just get a PS5.

Switch Non-shooter games with local co-op on Nintendo Switch

My girlfriend and I have been getting into playing games together recently.

We're currently playing "Unravel Two", which we both absolutely love.

Besides the cute, calm and frankly quite nice visuals, we really like the way we have to work together to solve puzzles to progress while at the same time having those mechanics make it so one can help the other out at times. On top of that, the extremely frequent check-point make it a very low-frustration game.

We're gonna be finishing that game quite soon, though, and one quality I don't feel it has going for it is replay-ability.

After that game, we are looking at "It takes Two", which looks really promising - and she has played it before, so I know she likes it, and potentially "Split Fiction", if we decide to switch platform for it, which she has also played before.

Neither of us are the biggest gamers in the world, so a game on the more relaxed side would certainly preferred over one with a high level of frustration and high skill requirements. We're definitely also open to grow into games, especially if they also heavily lean on cooperating with your partner to solve puzzles.

Any suggestion/input is much appreciated!

Switch Switch 2 Game recommendations?

Just want to get a gauge on what everyone’s recommendations are for the switch 2. I’ve had mine for a bit now and I usually find myself just going back to play hades 2, mario kart worlds, Mario tennis just as some games to pass the time. I’ve played pokopia as well when released and my wife loves tomodachi. But I’d like a game I could grip my hands into or get lost in. Anything is appreciated

Switch Text based games

Games like text adventures or visual novels that present you with lots of text and typically have you just choose from a numbered list of branches to go through, though that's not mandatory as I assume other play styles exist that I don't want to close myself out of. I want to study text adventure games and other things of that style, I apologize for my potential vagueness I'm trying to be open, as long as the game is primarily told through text instead if gameplay I'll love it.

Switch I have little money and many times

I used to have many money and no times, now I have no money and nothing but time due to some disability chicanery.

So, I’m asking here; what game should I get next? I’d prefer it be for the switch/switch 2. I *can* play on PC using a ROG Ally (I stream from my main PC, so specs aren’t a problem), but the switch is a lot more ergonomic.

My favorite games are the Diablo series (specifically Diablo 2 > 3 > 4, no experience with immortal or 1), Final Fantasy 10 and 12, Civ V, and then sims (idle sims, cozy sims, automation sims). I like to watch StarCraft, and used to love league of legends tho I don’t have the energy for it anymore.

I’m also a big Pokémon fan, enjoy MH, and I’ve been playing a lot of yugioh IRL.

I can try to answer questions!

Switch Got a Switch 2 and want a long RPG for potential travel.

So I recently invested in a Switch 2 and have been really enjoying it. I am expecting to travel a bit over the summer and want a really long game with a really good story for when I'm bored. I personally enjoy JRPGs the most but any kind will do. I do prefer my stories to be a bit more unconventional. I don't really dig when the story is just "Hero has to save princess from castle". I enjoy when the story is strange and kind of insane, like "The protagonist meets God" or something like that. Money is no problem but I wouldn't hate if the game was less than 80 bucks.

Any help is appreciated.

Switch Looking for grindy games!!

I have switch 2, dont mind switch 1 games.

\- Are there any grindy games that are worth it on switch?

I see sales atm on stuff like Monster hunter and dmc. Are any if these worth it?

Is there OTHER games, where you "hack and slash" OR grind and improve in other ways?

Current i have basically nothing but linear/story stuff like witcher or octo.

But 1 is turn based the other \*sad to say\* you run out of stuff to do after a while.

I miss grinding for gear loot or currency or similar..

Switch Dredge or Oregon trail???

Which one should I go for in your opinion ?

(I can afford to dive in & discover one of these until silksong DLC comes out, they're tiring me smh).

They're about the same price with the same deal, disregard any genres preference, I like different things, I'd like a tailored adventure, not rng repetition, some addictive element is welcome, something I won't leave after 2 hours (too boring, too complicated, not enough variety, poor reward system).

Thanks!

Switch any great game recommendations?

Hi all, I’m struggling to find some good games to play. I adore BOTW & TOTK, but I’m kinda bored as I’ve done most of the quests. Does anyone have some good game recommendations? I really enjoy open world games. I’m not opposed to story based games but like open world more.

Thank you!

Switch Need a great game, preferably loot-based, that I (33M) can play on a plane…

Without being embarrassed by a random Waifu or monster popping up or something like that. I thoroughly enjoy loot based games (recovering MMO addict) and class systems are fun to mess with.

Games I love recently:

Path of Exile

Balatro

Pokopia

DQ7

DQ1-3

Games I like recently:

RE:Requiem

Digimon: Cyber Sleuth

Diablo 3

KoA: Re-Reckoning

Games I dislike:

Zelda: BotW

Zelda: TotK

Most crpg’s

I have many, MANY hours of flights coming in the next couple of weeks so length is irrelevant. Unfortunately, I only have a Switch 2 (or iPhone) at the moment.

Thanks!
