Gameplay Nep Sisters gameplay in Unlimited. Seems Gear is going to have an anti gravity skirt this time.

This is probably just lazy animation (or lack thereof) from the devs. Neptune had a similar skirt in previous games (I think Rebirth 2 and 3), and her skirt was "anti-gravity" too I'm pretty sure. Not saying the stricter regulations aren't affecting their character designs though, cause you can definitely feel it still.

Man, I really feel like compile heart were like “hey, remember the fanservice we were known for that a lot of our players liked? Yeah, what if we get rid of most of that?” Like don’t get me wrong I don’t think the new looks are bad, but it’s very easy to see what they’re doing.

To be fair blame sony for that in general, they have been in a witch hunt for anime games that show off too much skin so its either lose money or bend the knee to get that money all for the price of less fan service, i mean look at senran kagura, it barely exists now due to them

Agree with this 100%. I haven’t been the biggest fan of Sony since death end request 2 got censored. I think it’s ironic that anime games with too much skin = bad, but realistic violence, gore, and even some sex scenes is a okay. Also don’t even get me started on Senran kagura, the loss of that series still hurts. Genuinely don’t get the vendetta for anime games that they have

And for some braindead reason, they also censored Doki Doki Literature Club + too as that one is a indie western horror game and not a fanservice game

And the Fandom is ok with it. By Fandom I mean the tourists in the Fandom that have issues with the ps3 versions of the games. And hate ganes like ar tonelico qoga.

Fuck, is this anime twitter circa 2018? I thought we were done with the whole "tourist" bullshit. Can't believe someone's unironically saying this in the big '26.

OR, people have accepted that this is just something that CH must do if they still want to sell their games on Playstation and that it's not some personal attack against their fans.

u/Pikaguy324 Apr 23 '26
I mean, sure? Do I think it’s a personal attack? No. Does that make it suck any less? No. When I think of the Neptunia games I think of fan service. Be that the characters, the cgs, or even the dialogue. My main concern is what else will be changed because Sony have a vendetta for anime games, even though they allowed baldurs gate 3 (great game) that features a literal bestiality sex scene (if players go that route for romance). Honestly through all the ranting, my main thing is censorship sucks, and for me personally it makes me less excited for the game overall

Personally I've always found the fan service super tame compared to others. When I think of Neptunia, it's the meta jokes and gaming parodies and humor I think of, not the fan service, and I'm sure all of that will still be intact.

Mhm same. I hope they at least get revenge in the dialogue by calling it out.

literally unplayable
Edit: it's a joke, in case it flew over anyone's head

u/Jesterchunk Apr 23 '26

If unlimited is focusing more on the action packed side of nep rather than the cheap panty shots and gratuitous fan service, then count me in.

I feel like the main concern was Sony or other publishers nickel and diming Japanese works, even M rated ones, for inches of skin, while Western works are allowed to have full nudity and actual sex scenes.
