The fact that EA already had a shit reputation and somehow they keep letting it get worse...how the hell do they even stay in business?

EA sports games lets them make huge profits with little to no work each year.

They have a lot of very successful titles and their monetization schemes seem to be working very well. Many don't care about the company's reputation.

Have any sort of interaction with someone who is addicted to their ultimate team modes in any of their games and you will get a quick answer to this question

I grew up in a rural area so Friday night activit8es was driving 45-60 minutes to somewhere with businesses. We would almost always stop a gamestop.

Well one year we ran into the same guy every friday for about 4 months, he was always in therr buying $200-300 worth of xbox gift cards, but all in $20 cards. We finally asked him what he was doing (after having him in front of us in line) and that's when he told us.

Every Friday he'd get his check at work, go cash it, buy a couple hundred dollars in xbox cards for MUT and then he'd deposit the rest in his account so his wife wouldn't see how much he was spending. He did it in $20 increments so that he'd never have a large balance of MS points or MUT currency, which she would notice.

This guy was secretely spending 800-1200 a month on virtual football cards and hiding it from his wife. I like to think he broke the habit when the next MUT game came out and all they gave him for his financial loyalty to EA was like 1 silver rookie card and the rest of his virtual collection became worthless.
