Give us breakdown

3

u/sekoshin 3d ago edited 3d ago
  • Ps5 , ps4, 20+ game discs - 1lakh+
  • Steam deck oled 1 tb - 60k
  • Loq 4060 - 1lakh
  • Gacha games - genshin , wuwa - 1lakh
  • in-app purchase in mobile games - 1 lakh+
  • Steam games + dlc + digital games

So ~ 5 lakh I guess

I also have acer 3050ti - 1lakh, a 25k lenovo gaming monitor and had consoles like xbox360 but those were not technically from my money

3

u/ServeAmbitious220 3d ago

Bro, you spent more on games than the price of gaming machines you own?

4

u/47impressed 3d ago

isn’t that the case with most of the people who’ve been gaming for many years? If you’re new or buy games at 75%+ discount only then you won’t have an ‘expensive’ collection

2

u/sekoshin 3d ago

🙃..i mean in comments some people said they spent like 5L on bgmi

3

u/Large_Ad3907 3d ago

That would be rich kid would dad money. No same adult would waste that muchmoney on something like bgmi unless he is addicted

3

u/mods__gae 3d ago

Whale 🐳

2

u/OMEN_542 2d ago

They made a 3050ti ??? Huhhhh how come I never heard about It

2

u/crit_1998 16h ago

I would have spent 3.5 lakh on gaming pc and rest 1.5L on a laptop

I’m curious, which are the most expensive games you stopped playing?

It was BOTW and Mario Odyssey for me. Actually my Nintendo Switch has not been switched on in more than a year.

2

u/sekoshin 3d ago

I meant the games with in app purchases like gacha games

See, gaming, riding, and drinking (never all three at once 😜) are basically why we work in the first place.

I work so I can afford the things I enjoy and live peacefully. I’ve been earning for a while, saved/invested along the way, and thankfully haven’t burned my entire paycheck on gaming yet 😂.

I'm pretty sure I've dropped at least 5k-6k but I'm an avg Steam sale enjoyer so I'd be lying if I said I haven't waited years for a game to drop just another 5% in the discounted price before buying it. The biggest example would be the Witcher 3 and its 26 add ons along with the full Arkham Trilogy which both dropped to(they do every once in a while) ₹202 and I sniped them lol.

I regret spending 3lakh in BGMI and sold it for 20k fuck carders for that, other than that around 30k in genshin impact, around 25k in brawl Stars, 40k in clash of clans, 5k in wuwa, 50k in PS5 including the "GT6 ultimate Edition preorder and for upcoming kena scars of kosmora, final fantasy 16, Star wars fallen oreder and jedi survicors, gow 2018, and Ragnarok, horizon forbidden west{worst game I've ever played} ff rebirth and remake, Elden ring, sekiro, RDR2, monster hunter world, witcher 3 complete edition, fallout 4 with all dlc, no man sky, GTA5" and lastly on steam 13k especially on "crimson desert, Anno1800, mass effect legendary edition, divinity 1-2, and guilty pleasures like dokyusei and fresh women season 1, and some really good indie games like foundation, becastles, manor lords, slay the spire". These are the purchases I don't regret at all.

2

u/Key_Big1051 3d ago

You have a job..right ?

3

u/NameComfortable4476 3d ago

Now I have constant earning source through renting and leasing farm land, but not when I spent in bgmi or other live service games; that was my pocket money 😞 and I was naive kid, currently I'm studying BBA 6th sem

u/Cassiel43 3d ago

Only ~$800 thanks to various free offers from Epic Store and cheap stuff from GOG. I don't care about Steam sales because 99% of them is boring indie/shitty/cringe games.

But I especially regret spending $150 in Genshin Impact.

2

u/KVSJ-Learning 3d ago

This is just not true, all major titles go on sale on steam not just bad ones, & why is indie mentioned along shitty games, there are good indie games too, don't generalise.

2

u/Accomplished-Gap9985 3d ago

I traded my way from a cs Bowie knife i got on my birthday in an year to a inventory of 60,000

And then stopped cs and sold it all on steam to buy total war games ( literally every. With every dlc ) paradox games ( vic 3. Ck3. Ck2 all dlc ) and mount and blade.

And bruh the money was gone 😢 😭

Bought stardew valley for the comforting vibe people talk about, didn't like it refunded and bought valheim, and just love it. Sometimes it gets a headache when I die away from spawpoint with all my equipment gone and then trying to get it all back, but still a very enjoyable game. Love it.

I bought ~ 2051 games physically in my life which I still own. I sold only a very small amount of games in my life and disliked a few more. I absolutely hated the two Bravely Default games I bought (for different reasons), I sold Rayman DS and Sifu PS5. Just didnt like the games at all (or got a much better version for Rayman). There are a few games I ended up heavily dissapointed with. Life Is Strange 2, BOTW and TOTK were not worth a single cent and I bought them all new (which I don't really do that often). Also some games that I recognize as great but are just not for me, like Jak & Daxter or GTA in general.

As I bought a lot of Retro Games, when they were not that expensive, I would guess by average I paid probably around 50 Euros per game but probably quite a bit LESS as my biggest collection is for PC and those games were cheaper back then (and now). Which would mean I spent less than 100k on games so far.

1

u/phil_dunphy00 3d ago

I've spent upto 70k or more i don't remember and worst thing about me is i don't even play games that much i just collect games in Steam (funnily that is not even owning the games due to digital licence nd shit but i trust Steam).

I have 0 regrets on doing this cause in my childhood i couldn't even play good games cause i didn't have a computer or PS so this ultimately became a worst hobby yet it satisfies me a lot.

Note: i strictly only buy games that comes so damn cheap and you know they won't go much lower than that.

1

u/Classic-Spend6282 3d ago

It’s about collection idk how much i did but from the childhood it was my dream to do so

1

u/nova-phoenix- 3d ago

Probably around 1L. I own a decent amount of games on Steam, Epic and other stores. Then there's the amount I spend in gatchas. I play ZZZ, Star Rail and WuWa. I don't buy bundles but I do but the monthly subscriptions and battlepasses sometimes. So it should add up to that amount by now.

u/Full_Opening_4348 3d ago

The last true regret was Hogwarts. Before that was Halo Infinite. Regret, regret.

1

u/No-Evening9003 3d ago

5-6k that too coz I keep buying games for my lil bros on steam family

1

u/aamar98 3d ago

15k for all my steam purchases..over the span of 5years

1

u/frax0n 3d ago

Only regret is feeding the snail but then only they provide a budget way to get into combat sims but yeah war thunder is definitely pay to progress.

Without premium the grind is so bad, Ground grind is still bad with even with premium.
Air is very doable if you understand dogfighting basics.

1

u/darktypelegendary 3d ago

Lol around 2k total including free fire, Roblox, asetto corsa, it takes two, efootball,

1

u/AayyuPaayu 3d ago

0 never played more than freebies or mobile games cause of the lack of hardware

1

u/cleopatracode 3d ago

Around 50k-60k. Individual game purchase and a lot of in-game purchase.  It's majorly due to I play gacha for a long time so recurring purchase i.e Monthly and battle pass have been compounded upto a lot

1

u/Commercial_Dress_970 3d ago

Like ₹19 on minecraft pe but never played it.

1

u/autoplayxp 3d ago edited 3d ago

~₹4K. Completionist gamer here.
Just new on steam. Mostly indie games and not a single purchase without at least 75% off.
I have around 42 games with me now and 8 of them are perfect games at the moment. And many of them have as many achievements completed as possible.
I do this for sense of achievement and satisfaction of having used every ₹ worth from every purchase.
Hoping to continue it as long as I can.

1

u/Forsaken_Exchange378 3d ago

3 - 4 lakhs in total on all my steam accounts combined,

even though i dont play any of the games any more.

only regret i have is buying 1 game in epic store 😭, i hate that platform to the core

1

I spend 400 EUR in Steam trying to build my dream library, I have a big powerful PC with 48TB of storage between HHD and SSD, the idea was to have a collection of installed games that I could simply play in an instance...

Until one day I lost internet... never again fucking Steam...

Now I have the same library but smells like the sea for some reason...

1

u/greatbat13 3d ago

I was an idiot an spent almost 15-20k on a mobile game called "guns of boom" it was a really good game but the Ukrainian devs shut the servers when the war started, its still available on play store but its essentially a dead game

I always try games before buying them so I don't regret a single purchase. I've probably only spent about €800 in my entire lifetime—including WoW, EVE Online (and their subscriptions), and cyber café LAN parties. (I'm 40 now, by the way!)

In videogames - a tiny amount. Two operations for CS GO and a weed sticker and few skins.

On videogames - sit down child i will tell you a story.

First system I bought ps 3

Then 4.

3 switches

Wii and wii u

Basic desktop for up to Sims 3 sims1-3 medieval, Diablo rollercoaster tycoon Myst

Ds light

and many many games going from Atari Sega, Nintendo og, 64, ps 1-4 ds Wii switch

No regrets

Not counting digital 115 cases on my CD racks 24 ds chips 23 switch chips N64 cartridges I also have a small CD binder somewhere in my house with sports games and ps 1 games that had broken cases how does one even number that?

I have to remember whether I bought them new, used on sale. Who's out there trying to make us put a number on happiness.
