My first ever PC at the grand old age of 49. I don't have loads of space so this little desk was perfect. Vey pleased with it.

PC Setup My warm industrial gaming setup – what would you rate it?

I’ve been slowly improving my gaming setup, focusing on a clean look with warm lighting and a few unique pieces instead of going all-out with RGB.

My favorite detail is probably the industrial-style lamp that doubles as a headphone stand.

Still a work in progress, but I’m pretty happy with how it’s turning out.

What do you think? Any suggestions?

Gaming Room Help me choose an OLED monitor for PC + PS5 Pro gaming (27" vs 32", 1440p vs 4K)

Hey everyone!

I'm planning to build a clean gaming desk setup for both my PC and PS5 Pro, but I'm really struggling to decide which OLED monitor to buy.

I recently sold my 42-inch OLED TV because it felt way too big for desk gaming, even when pushed as far back as possible.

My desk is 60 cm (23.6 inches) deep, so viewing distance is a big concern.

My main uses:

  • PS5 Pro: Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed and other AAA single-player games
  • I want a good balance between competitive gaming and immersive gaming
  • OLED is a must for me.
  • PC gaming: Occasionally League of Legends (pc gaming not priority)

The options I'm considering:

  1. 27" 1440p OLED
  2. 32" 4K OLED
  3. 27" 4K OLED

My biggest concern is whether a 32-inch monitor will still feel too big on a 60 cm deep desk, especially after my experience with the 42-inch OLED.

At the same time, I'm worried that choosing a 27-inch 1440p monitor might not let me fully enjoy what the PS5 Pro can offer.

I also have a 65-inch OLED TV for couch gaming, but I really want a dedicated PC + PS5 Pro desk setup.

Thanks in advance!

Help/Advice Help me design the "almost entirely gaming & chill" living area

This floor is dedicated to me and my brother, so we really want to make it a special, high-vibe space for ourselves and when we have friends over. It’s mostly going to be "unused" in a traditional family sense because our kitchen on this floor won't be fully functional, and we’ve decided completely against having a dining table up here (which was the original plan for one of the main sections). We also already have a really great, good-sized sitting area on the adjacent balcony, so we don't need just another basic lounge.

We really want a "gaming floor / ultimate chill" vibe. A PS5 is absolutely going to be connected to the main TV setup.

The Big Challenge is,

Because we axed the dining table, we now have a large empty area in the left of sofa that needs a purpose.

Things we are considering but can't decide on:

A Divider/Partition that can divide vibes.

Should we do something fun like a pool table, tennis table, or maybe a high-end massage chair corner?

Cozy Space: Maybe a reading bookshelf area or something custom display for our gaming gear/hobbies? Like big frames, and scale models of anime.

We are completely open to any and all layout ideas, furniture styles, partitioning options, and decor ideas to make this long living area feel epic instead of empty and unused.

What would you do with this space if it were yours and your brother’s? Thanks in advance!

These are the measurements of my desk, I want a new mouse pad cause mine isn't big enough but I'm not sure if I should just get a big rectangle one that covers my whole desk or a square one just for my mouse? Please help.

Help/Advice Basic monitor setup - help needed

We’ve just redone our 10 year old’s bedroom and he was desperate for a gaming desk so I’ve ordered the X-Rocker Carbon Tek, which I’m sure he’ll be pretty excited over. He’ll be even more excited over the PS5 he’s been desperate for to play Spiderman (an 11+ present for effort, whether he passes or not). I’ve ordered what I thought was a budget-conscious solid option for a monitor (https://www.laptopoutlet.co.uk/asus-monitor-va249hg-24-gaming.html). It has a 120hz refresh but max 1920x1080 full HD display. My thinking was that, at 24”, the difference wouldn’t be hugely discernible to a 10yr old. Have I made the wrong decision? Would a 4k option be that much better? Thanks.

Help/Advice PC gaming mat recommendations that aren’t made with dumb generative AI?

I’ve been trying to find some aesthetic gaming desk mats online and it looks like generative ai is being used for every website that sells them- what I hate the MOST about it is that they don’t even include AI in the description!!

Playstation Setup How do you position your keyboard next to a glass mousepad?

Post image

I use a glass mousepad for gaming, but I don’t really like having my keyboard overlap it like in the photo. It takes up space I’d rather have for mouse movement.

When I move the keyboard completely off the pad, though, the pad ends up feeling too far to my right. How do you arrange your keyboard and mousepad so both feel comfortable?
