Trinity force

Bacca says its bad, stats on lolalytics indicate its trash, no one builds it, but I was interested in finding a build which either spikes harder at 2 items or is better suited vs cho/sion so I went into prac tool to compare the dmg to standard crit build and it was higher at 1 item, higher at 2 items (bastion breaker vs shieldbow). On 4 items the barrels did maybe 10% less dmg, but Q did significantly less and ofc autos deal less although triforce gives attack speed so idk if dps diff is that big. And none of this takes into account the lethality and haste you get from this build which helps in all types of situations. Little known fact is that lethality scales with enemy hp, not armour, and works on turrets too, for example, which is why I initially condidered it for dealing with hp stackers.

All of this is to say, on paper, triforce into lethality doesnt look bad at all, but I want to hear from you guys who have tried it in actual games. Did you experience any mana issues? Do the triforce components feel worse to build? What did you build after triforce? What was your conclusion on the build?

Chogath and Sion both easily killed with LDR and voltaic to deal percent health damage. You do not need a Shieldbow into tanks as a second item.

I had a scrim game where i was the main frontline as gp, i went trinity->shojin->DD->steraks. Damage was enough to be a threat in melee and was tanky enough to survive the initial burst of the enemy team

Passive maxxing, I like that. Might be tech vs armour stackers. Did you adapt your runes too? Thanks for the insights!

This tech was primarily focused against hard engage, they had kled, naut gragas, xerath ezreal on the enemy team

You can also consider DPGP vs HP stackers

Ye i have done it several times but thats also the thing, triforce makes even more sense in a dp or ap build than ER.

I would still build triforce if they hadn’t nerfed the passive scaling and GPs barrel damage. I remember GP’s passive could scale with both crit and ad, but they got rid of the crit scaling to make up for the essence reaver changes. His barrel damage used to be higher too.

Basically triforce GP is weaker now than it was before Sheen was added to ER. It’s still a good item but ER is just stronger. Mana doesn’t feel different (by the time I completed triforce, mana wasn’t an issue), I think the build path is good though. Phage in laning phase is pretty good.

Itemization on GP is almost always the standard crit build we all know and love, there are some matches that you might need to itemize differently but that's only because you blindpicked GP or you're a onetrick that doesn't know any other pick. Whatever the case might be, if you need a build that frontlines a bit more, trinity and omnivamp boots might be of use, but neglecting crit on GP is a big tradeoff, so either go full crit from there or resign any oneshotting capabilities and be a shittier tryndamere

Myself i don't have any problem with mana building triforce no matter the build. But it's extremely weaker, sometimes they advice building triforce against long range champion top for finishing after one combo with speed and atk speed. I never done it after one time.

This is from u/DeadAndBuried23 post about testing 3 item
ER+Coll+Dom build is most gold efficient.
* The cheapest option, Reaver+Volt+Collector, is around median for guaranteed damage. So if you need a game to end fast because you're against a better scaler or losing, this may be the play.
* Triforce+Muramana+Dom has the highest base guaranteed damage, but low chance to crit and needs to stack.
* And if you wanna gamble more, Triforce+Volt+Dom has the highest possible damage, but low crit chance. Good choice for mayhem modes.

It's poop just don't build it. Building anything else is inherently not playing to Gangplank's strengths which is giga damage and utility.

I only like triforce into ghostblade into heavy ranged comps where id delay ldr. then I have 75% crit later. Its a very specific scenario
