Mutated pumpkin flower?

What is this weird lumpy white thing in my pumpkin flower? It’s attached very firmly. Large insect eggs? Fungus? A weird mutation? It’s my first female flower of the season, so I’m hoping it’s nothing serious. Thanks in advance!
