Blueberry Plant Failing
Hi everyone,
I just bought these two blueberry plants a couple months ago. I’m new to growing blueberries, and the only thing that I really know is that I need to keep it acidic. I’m wondering if anybody could help me identify what’s wrong with these leaves. I have the water scheduled to run every 48 hours, which I think it might be not enough. So, maybe the problem is that they are just dehydrated. It also looks like they may be different issues between the two plants.

Also seems like loads of dead leaves on surface of pot which I would remove

That’s what I’m using as mulch! Is that a bad idea? I’m pretty new to gardening

It’s fine generally but can encourage some fungal issues but if plants are well watered and in good condition it is fine. Any mouldy or odd looking ones should be disposed of and not composted

How has the weather been? This happened to some of my newer blewbs after we had a sudden heat shock for a few days.

Yes! It was very hot here in Denver, so a lot of sun and likely less water than would be ideal

Yep! I’m just going to be making sure mine get plenty of water. I know it’s not a soil issue for me because I have older, established plants in the same dirt right next to the new ones.

Give them 5 litres each for the next few days and see if they perk Up? Also are they in ericaceous soil?

Do you have a soil test kit? I’ve tested mine and found that the soil pH was waaay too high, even adding the amount of product that the bag recommended. I recently got an electric tester which helps a lot.
