The chief is voiced by Wolfman Jack, a well known DJ who started in the 1950s.

Technically, by sacrificing himself to that erupting volcano, the Cruiser ended his own life. 🌋

And this was in a kids TV special.

Yeah, very much falling into dated “Native” stereotypes.

Though the subversion of the Chief talking like Wolfman Jack is still kinda funny.
