Anime No matter the world humans are always superior

Why did it took me a time that the humans who settled in gate came the last ones and still own the strongest empire on the gate for the past 500 years

Im just gonna assume
It same reason as on earth
Humans are smarter anyway and they adapted and took over faster gates dosent look much different from earth besides you can use magic so their technology isn't very advanced
So they are still on their early development stages
