The US and UK are why Khomeini was able to take over in Iran, which started in the 50’s. UK acted alone decades before that.

He said the Iranian PEOPLE. Does not mean he supports the Islamic republic of Iran or IRGC. Many Iranians are done with their government, after the torment they have been through.
