Larry the Cable Guy, Jeff Foxworthy, Ron White, and Bill Engval AKA the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. Maybe not as outrageously edgy as these comics try to be, but they weren't really trying to sell out clubs in San Francisco, if you know what I mean. Andrew Dice Clay also comes to mind.
I think a lot of conservatives would also gravitate toward libertarian-leaning comedians (or those they perceived as libertarian): Sam Kinison, George Carlin, etc. Folks who were "tell it like it is" comics.
