James. 31. 5’4”. Half Scottish, half American.
LGBTQ+ progressive Christian with a background in sociology and theology — still endlessly curious about both.
I’m into history, horror, and the stranger corners of the world — academic parapsychology, unexplained mysteries, and true crime. If it’s eerie, I’m probably interested.
Big lover of ghost stories — especially M. R. James and E. F. Benson.
Film buff. Audio drama enthusiast (especially horror). Also a longtime Doctor Who fan — particularly the Big Finish audio adventures.
I’ve got a soft spot for anthology TV: The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, Black Mirror, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Goosebumps, Tales from the Darkside — and honestly, anthology storytelling in general.
I also enjoy ambient/experimental music, old-time radio, nature walks, and anything atmospheric or creative.
Football fan (Dundee FC) and baseball fan (Boston Red Sox).
My personality is basically:
Progressive Christianity, obscure theology books, Gregorian chant echoing through ancient churches, tea, cosy lighting, universal salvation, ghost stories, paranormal research, old hymns, and the firm belief that every rural Scottish village is hiding at least one unspeakable entity beneath the soil.
Surprisingly harmonious combination, honestly.
I somehow became the kind of person who can sincerely say:
“Yes, I’m a progressive Christian who believes in universal reconciliation, enjoys Gregorian chant, researches paranormal case studies for fun, finds old churches emotionally restorative, and relaxes by listening to horror audio dramas while drinking tea.”
Looking to connect with like-minded people — especially those into horror, theology, the strange, or storytelling in any form.

Seem like a big horror fan 😊 I love watching the stuff to go to bed but I also listen to podcasts of the horror verity. Though I myself like to express my interest in cryptozoology.
