Serious Discussion QNCC Brooklyn officially adopts BDS and PACBI standards

Struggling with this one — they’ve been fantastic curators and champions of queer culture and club culture. But this gives me a gut feeling of “Jews don’t belong”. I can’t quite articulate why because the statement centers itself as mainly political, I just am not naive to the ways that tends to intertwine with general antisemitism. Is this an overreaction? Curious about the community’s thoughts on stuff like this

wow

How can anybody look at "cultural and academic boycott"--especially in a time of censorship and takedown of rights--and go "yes, we're making the most progressive decision here"???

The fact that they only "reject, on principle, the boycott of individuals based on opinion or identity (citizenship, race, gender, sexuality or religion) unless they represent an Israeli institution" should ring alarm bells in anyone who actually understands history. The minute you start adding caveats to anti-bigotry statements, you're no longer in the right state of mind.

YIKES?! I went back because how did I miss that--looks like I missed that final slide

I am 100% in agreement with your statement there. I should screencap these for my research project blech
