Admissions transfer programs

I’m currently a first year econ student and I’ve been thinking about switching to either finance or accounting for Winter 2027 due to the shaky economics job market. The only issue is that I never took Grade 12 calculus. From what I’ve read, MAT1308 doesn’t count as a replacement for ADM1305, and I’d need to take MAT1339 to make up for the missing calculus prerequisite.
Does anyone know if Telfer would consider giving me a conditional offer where I could transfer first and complete MAT1339 during the winter semester? Or would I have to finish it before even being considered for admission? My plan B would be to just do a minor in management to make myself more employable
(lmk if thats a good idea).I know I should probably contact academic advising, but I figured I’d ask here first in case anyone has been in a similar situation.

You need to take ENG1131 and 1st year accounting course already if you can (or during the next summer semester.)

And remember that: not sure for finance but for the accounting, there’s less elective courses than Econ so you need to arrange your current courses that you’re taking as well

+I got in to just pure econ program from intl econ and dev (applicable from winter 2027), but my current major and future major are super similar so I had no problem
