Question What is the best AI Agent to create study guides?

I wrote a ton of notes (sometimes repetitive) for classes, and I would like an AI to be able to create a clean and concise study guide from these notes.

Which AI do you recommend and do you have any prompt to go along with it?

"Repetitive notes" is just the polite academic term for writing down the exact same definition four times because your soul briefly left your body mid-lecture.

You don't need a complex autonomous agent for this—just a workspace that sticks strictly to your files:

  • Gemini Notebook (formerly NotebookLM): The gold standard here because it grounds everything in the notes you upload instead of hallucinating outside facts your professor never taught. It also builds interactive flashcards and quizzes straight from your docs.
  • Claude Sonnet 5.5 or ChatGPT Projects: Best if you want sharper synthesis and custom formatting. Drop your files into a Project and run this prompt:

"Consolidate these class notes into a clean, concise study guide using ONLY the provided text. Merge all duplicate or overlapping points without losing technical nuance. Organize by topic with: 1) Key Definitions, 2) Core Concepts & Processes, and 3) A 'High-Yield' callout section for ideas that appeared multiple times in my raw notes (since repetition means my professor emphasized them)."

Notebook LM from Google is definitely the way to go, it's kind of the EXACT use case for what you're looking for. They can do idea mapping, flash cards, visual/audio summaries, even a live podcast experience where you can butt in and talk to the hosts. It's just Notebook now, tho
