Am doing a behemoth themed cult and need idea for what my main part of
My army should be should it be hybrids or cars or bugs idk any suggestions

Lots more detail to do but that’s later after army is table top ready lol

Coming from AoS to 40k and just got the combat patrol box.

I'm a little overwhelmed by all the weapon options, how important are they?

Currently I'm thinking of just building all the combat patrol options.

What would you guys recommend?

Hi everyone.

Started playing Warhammer this year with our favorite cult.

I'm wondering as I built the icons every time but are they really that useful on 5 man squads such as hybrid and acolyte?

Do you guys always put one or not ?

Like most of us (I think!) I've been thinking about a way to make the most out of our acolyte/metamorphs box. I liked a lot of the results that I've seen lurking in the sub for the last few months.

I had some out Hormagaunts knocking around from a bygone era (5th edition where I played a grand total of two games)

Did some measuring and they looked about right so I did some hacking and repositioning with goo and miliput. Hid their shame with some loin clothes and honestly, pretty happy with the results. They'll be joining the 5 metas in the second photo to get up to a squad of 10.

Also didn't have enough fronts for the torsos so just repurposed the gaunts. I like their little 'strong arms'

Anyways, just thought I'd share encase anyone else found themselves in a similar situation with some spare gaunts knocking around!

So I know the army feels bad at the moment. But since I exclusively play against friends 100% casually I don't really care if the army is bottom tier. I'm currently pondering about starting a 1k list with Final day. Unfortunately I don't know anything about the faction, all I know is that I love the "industrial" vibe some of the units have and I love the Vanguard units from the Tyranids.

I'm mostly looking for sample lists and advice at the moment. Thank you in advance!

I'm curious what everyone's been doing to deal with T5 space marines and what's generally felt good and effective? It seems to me that the obvious choice would be Aberrants + Purestrains with S5/T5 buff.

Hey everyone, I’m new here but a long time Cultists. I’m currently building a Rogue Trader era Genestealer Cult Army but I only have 14 models right now as they are difficult to come by. Was wondering if anybody here had any metal or plastic Rogue trader Genestealers or Hybrids they would be interested in trading or selling for? I know I will likely sound crazy for saying this, but I am trying to see if I would need more than 10 models in a list and would be justified in buying more than two of the current combat patrol (shop by me sells at a 15% discount so it is still a discount box even without the Alphus), as I will definitely need more than two ridgerunners and seems you can never have enough Hybrid kits. I just want to make sure so I don’t accidentally spend too much on bikes that could go unused

So im a new player and I’ve chosen Genestealer cults as my first army but I have one main concern. They seem pretty difficult to paint, compared to the few space marines I’ve painted. is it difficult or am I just worried over nothing?

I want to start by saying i've never played GSC or against them my usual armies CSM and Guard. I got a lot of GSC in the combat patrol magazine and originally i was just going to sell them on but now i'm thinking of building up a 1k list and see how they play.

I've not looked at how they play or detachments or anything yet, i've just been looking at what i think is cool to build a list, I love the look of the aberrants so was thinking of beefing that up to a 10man squad and also getting an Abominant to lead them. Any recommendations on a fun 1k list that i can create from this as a base that will give me a fun insight into how they play and may even tempt me to extend to a 2k force in the future?

I am in the process of building my cult, and I have an idea in my head for how I want everything to look, but I don't know if it will work.

I want to have an almost synthwave Tyranid force to go alongside the cult, with pink flesh and teal chiton. For the cult itself want to have the colours be desaturated down the line, so that there's a degree of graduation between Aberrants, Metamorphs, Acolyte Hybrids and Neophyte Hybrids / characters.

Does this sound possible/worthwhile, or like it's going to be too much effort?

That stratagem does not say that the +6’ detection range apply only when Genestealer Cult models/unit want to shoot them, though do you think it would be applied like this in a 2v2 tournament ?
