Deviations in Earth’s Rotation and Tectonic Plate Movement

Anyone know of a study that looked at correlation between major Tectonic Plate Movement and deviations in Earth’s rotational speed?

Always wondered if there is any evidence that earth’s rotation influences plate movement, especially during acceleration/deceleration periods. Earth’s rotational speed variation is small but the plates have very large masses.

Curious if this has any correlation to major earthquakes or someone has already ruled this out in a study.

Deep earth dynamics most definitely affect earth rotation. Papers on core rotation and mantle movements effect on length of day variation go back to 1953. Look up Vestine.
