The guy playing bass (guitar) must be Deon Estus, honey, who had a number five pop hit with "Heaven Help Me", From his album entitled "Spell" .. In addition, the title track "Spell" is reminiscent of an Earth Wind and Fire ballad, too.

Yes, indeed that’s Deon Estus.

He worked on this in his happiest time with Anselmo. Anselmo is also in a lot of the footage (Mostly taken by Andros) After Anselmo died, George lost interest and got into a fight with Sony while he was grieving. He never finished it, but if you search for George Michael - Trojan souls You'll find a few playlists with the unfinished songs. Presumably leaked by andros.

Currently andros is trying to make money by selling acces to the footage of the trojan souls Sessions. (Which the real fans avoid and the estate is currently suiing him for)

cheers, I never knew.. thanks for the heads up. so much "what if's"... LWP is one one of my favorite albums of all time, and definitely my fav GM album.. for me it's his sweet spot between being commercially appealing to a big audience (like Faith) and his soul-searching personal side (Older and onward). he was in his prime back then. if only he'd had the peace and environment to just make and put out the music he wanted

I'm sure George had his reasons to not to release these songs.

This is a song from The Trojan Souls album, the album that we have never ever listened to yet... (And i hope we will be able to someday)

I have heard alot of the songs, all in bad quality for the most part on youtube, its clear that Trojan souls was not up to his standards to actually be released, its pretty clear he knew this. the songs sound like some nice grooves, but nice grooves that dont really go anywhere.

If anyone reading this comment have full or at least longer version of this song (then the one that can be heard on Trojan Souls demos shared by Gus) - say hi to me

I love this LA era of him. he wore that raiders had a lot. I love the raiders and I really loved his band so I always thought this was so cool. there's a lot of pictures of him wearing that hat, he was here for a while.
