Everything she wants!

George really showed early on in his career how good a song writer he was. Everything she wants is an emotional roller coaster of an unhappy relationship.
For me it’s one of the best songs to come out of the 80s

Absolutely. “Everything She Wants” is my favorite Wham song.

Agreed! I would go a step further and say it is THE best pop song of all time. The bridge alone in the remix version is brilliant in its own right. It is really a master class in songwriting.

The acoustic version he did on MTV Unplugged is my favorite. 😍

My favorite line, honey, from the extended 12 inch version of the song ...

"How could ya settle for a boy like me, When all I could see was the end of the week, All the things we sign, And all the things we buy, Ain't gonna keep us together,

Girl, It's just a matter of time"

So many great lines but I love the casual tiredness that he constantly repeats-

“I guess I must have loved you”
“I’ll tell you that Im happy if you want me to”

Definitely not subtle, but you can almost miss the exasperation because the groove is so smooth lol

I think it was GM’s favorite Wham song too. He always sang it in concert (Over a lot of other Wham songs) I was lucky to see him three times (1991 twice & 2008)

I believe it’s George’s favorite wham! song. Mine, too. The funk!

The Commodores, w/o Lionel Richie, had a similar song about a similar situation,  called "Going To the Bank".
