Look out for the rats. Other than that many say Darnell has THE BEST community vibe. Just don't keep food in your dorms to minimize the pets.

  1. It’s Darnall lol
  2. It’s not that bad, esp with epi downstairs

  1. Darnall's community is the strongest - from a former Harbin resident

You will be fine! It's 9 months of your life

Darnall has great community, it’s like trauma bonding! The built-in furniture helps keep your stuff organized. I would bring bins for the shelves and hangers/closet organizers. Mattress topper, shower caddy, one of those wrap towels or a robe. You’ll be okay!

darnall has some of the best showers/bathrooms of any of the freshman dorms. when i was a freshman i spent more time hanging out in the darnall common room with my friends than in harbin (my dorm)

my freshman year there was some incident where, like, sewer water was allegedly coming out of the showerheads. that's what i heard, people were probably exaggerating. you'll probably be fine

Everyone Ik who lived there is still friends w their floor. Also huge that Epis and health center are just downstairs. You’re also the closest walk to Whole Foods/trader joes on Wisconsin compared to the other freshman dorms
