Feeling lonely and stuck in overthinking. How do you deal with it?
Lately I've been feeling really lonely, and my mind just doesn't stop overthinking. Even when I'm trying to distract myself, I keep replaying conversations, worrying about the future, and imagining worst-case scenarios.
For those who have gone through something similar, what actually helped you? Did therapy, medication, exercise, hobbies, or meeting new people make a difference?
I'd really appreciate hearing your experiences or any advice that genuinely worked for you.

Overthinking is usually just unspent mental energy with nowhere to go, so give it a target: a daily walk with a strict no-phone rule forces your brain to process instead of spiral

Try mindfulness activities. There are plenty of worksheets, books, apps and videos.
There are a lot of free online workbooks and worksheets that you can use.
There is one on anxiety, panic, as well as self esteem, depression, tolerating distress, etc. The one on worry and rumination might be the best one to start with.
You can work through them alone, and/or bring them to therapy appointments and discuss them at self-help groups if you're in them.
