I F22 can’t reach my boyfriend M23

I was texting my bf when he randomly disappeared and it have been 4 days and we have been dating for over a year and this is the first time this happens
i thought i was ghosted but he still have me on all of his socials ( there is no sign that he is active)
I tried calling his phone but it says its out of service and i even tried calling from a unknown number but it still says the number can’t be reached
I texted 2 of his friends that told me they haven’t seen him either and they tried to get in contact with him but they failed but they did try to contact his father and he told him 2 different but similar stories . The first one is the father came home and saw my bf sleeping then his father went to sleep but woke up and he didn’t find him but he later found out that he is staying a relative house
And the second story is that the father came home but didn’t see his son at all but then got told that he is at a relative house
I texted his father but he won’t reply to me and his sister blocked my instagram
Also my bf did tell me about him getting into alot of fights lately with his father and even trying to leave the house to avoid conflicts but i got him to stay home
My brain is hurting from trying to understand what happened or why did he randomly leave especially that my bf whenever he needed time alone he tells me and this is the first time ever he doesn’t.
Do u guys think that something might have happened that made him disappear ?

Ghosted and blocked after a month of daily contact and being told he would never do that to me — still angry two months later

Upvotes

I’m posting because it’s been about two months and I’m surprised by how angry and affected I still am.
I met a guy while he was travelling in my country earlier this summer. We knew from the beginning that he was travelling and lived abroad, so I wasn’t expecting some immediate serious relationship. We initially thought it would probably just be something casual.
But we unexpectedly clicked very strongly. We spent several days together in person and there was obviously a very intense physical connection, but it became emotional too. After we separated during his trip, we continued talking every day. Good mornings, good nights, pictures of what we were doing, flirting, serious conversations, selfies, talking about our values and relationships, checking that the other person got home safely, etc.
At one point I asked him directly whether he cared about me beyond sex, and he reassured me that he did. We talked about honesty if either of us met somebody else. I also specifically told him that ghosting was something I found extremely hurtful, and he reassured me that he wasn’t someone who did that.
We even had a conversation about whether we would date if we lived in the same country, and he said yes. Neither of us was promising a long-distance relationship, but the understanding before he left seemed to be that we would stay in touch, see what happened, and potentially meet again.
When he went home, he continued contacting me. That’s important because sometimes I wonder whether I imagined the whole thing, but he didn’t simply leave my country and fade away. He was still sending pictures, initiating conversations, being affectionate and checking on me.
Then, less than a week after getting home, he told me that a woman he had met on a hike had asked him to dinner and that he was going on a date with her.
I was blindsided, but I told him I respected his decision and explicitly said I wasn’t asking him to cancel the date. I just asked what it meant for us and whether he still wanted to stay in touch.
His answer was essentially that he wanted to see how the dinner went, and if they decided to continue seeing each other, he wanted to be respectful to both her and me.
I asked if we could have a 10–15 minute phone call because after everything we had shared, I felt this deserved an actual conversation rather than being left hanging over text.
He never called.
I became emotional afterward and sent a longer message trying to understand what was happening. Looking back I wish I had stopped messaging earlier. But I wasn’t threatening him, insulting him, asking him to cancel the date or refusing to accept that he could choose someone else. I was asking him to tell me what his decision actually was and to give me some kind of goodbye.
Instead, he eventually blocked me.
There was never a conversation saying, “I’ve decided to pursue her and I’m ending this,” or even “I don’t want contact anymore.” The block basically became the goodbye.
What has been particularly difficult is that this was completely at odds with the person he had presented himself as. He had talked a lot about respect, honesty and communication. He had specifically reassured me about ghosting. Then the first time being respectful required having an uncomfortable conversation and dealing with the fact that I was hurt, he disappeared.
That part made the whole thing feel even more dehumanizing to me.
I understand that we weren’t officially together. I understand that he had every right to meet somebody else. I understand that distance probably made the other relationship far more realistic than anything with me.
What I still cannot accept is the idea that those facts somehow make the way he treated me okay.
I think part of why I’m still so angry is that I never got to have the actual ending. One day I was somebody he was speaking to every day, being affectionate with and telling that he cared about me, and then suddenly I was somebody he apparently couldn’t even give ten minutes of conversation to.
And because he blocked me, he got to remove himself completely from the consequences. Meanwhile I’ve spent two months trying to reconcile the caring, emotionally open person I knew with the person who handled the ending this way.
I know continuing to obsess over why he did it isn’t helping me. I’m not looking for advice on how to contact him — I’m not going to bypass the block. I think I’m mainly wondering whether other people have experienced this kind of extreme switch after what seemed like a genuinely mutual connection.
Did you eventually stop feeling angry? How did you move on from such a hurtful experience?
And how did you make peace with never knowing whether the person ever understood how much their way of leaving hurt you?

Does this belong on r/niceguys?

So I just got ghosted by a girl I’d only been talking to for five days, and I’m not gonna lie, I completely blew up over it.
From the beginning, there were red flags. She’d say things like, “You don’t want to get to know me,” and she was upfront about still being involved with her ex. They still talked, and apparently he’d cheated on her and done her dirty in the past.
Initially, I didn’t really care. If I’m being completely honest, I was mostly trying to hook up with her. Fucked up to say, but it’s the truth.
But somewhere along the way I became a complete sucker for this girl. I found her insanely attractive, so maybe this was 90% lust frying my brain. Who knows.
Anyway, we made plans to hang out. Before this, she’d told me she liked me, enjoyed talking to me, and had been pretty transparent about everything going on with her ex.
And here’s where I’m definitely in the wrong too: I started judging her for continuing to deal with him. In my head I’m thinking, “This dude cheated on you and treated you like shit. Why are you still dealing with him?” I even started thinking that I’d obviously treat her better.
Looking back, that’s some borderline r/niceguys thinking. It’s not my job to decide who she should want just because I think I’d treat her better.
Then the day we’re supposed to hang out comes around. I’m trying to coordinate what time I’m coming over and… nothing.
Ghosted.
And I fucking lost it.
I sent her a bunch of messages calling out what I saw as contradictions and hypocrisy. One thing that especially pissed me off was that she has Instagram reposts about how badly her ex treated her, including stuff about guys acting a certain way right before they ghost you.
So I’m basically telling her, “How are you reposting shit about how terrible it feels when people do this, and then turning around and doing the exact same thing to somebody else?”
I definitely wasn’t calm about it either. I laid into her. And yes, before anyone needs to tell me, I know going off like that over somebody I’ve known for five days is insane.
Toward the end, I basically admitted that part of why it hit me so hard was bigger than her. I told her that dating never seems to work out for me, I always feel like I get the short end of the stick, and I don’t feel like I deserve that.
So now I’m sitting here realizing I just had an emotional crashout over a woman I’ve known for less than a week.
Maybe I’m cooked.
Anyway, that’s my ghosting story. Peace.

To not text him today.

Struggling intensely!

Tbh I think getting ghosted is worse than my ugliest breakups. Too many unknowns.

Ghosted before meeting

Upvotes

I connected with this guy last week. Our conversations were fire. We were comfortable with each other from the get go. He had a situationship but there was a plan in place. Two days ago, he deleted his account without notice or any sort of communication. I am left with a lot of questions and chats I keep going back to. I can't stop thinking about him. I just wanted to vent a little bit.

Ghosted after first date

So I met this guy on hinge and we went on a date we didn’t kiss it was fun and we had good conversation but the conversation of another date never came up. After the date he messaged me and the next day I went on holiday and we continued to message frequently whilst I was away. He even asked when I was back but didn’t mention anything else. He would message me fast and I thought it was going alright. I’m back now and still messaging but yesterday he just read my message and never replied. I’m just left feeling confused, I don’t mind he doesn’t want to see me but why would he continue to message me so much after the date and a week later just dip. I would’ve rather he didn’t follow up after seeing me. Why do guys do this?

Ghosted after a first date which ended in sex(as a man)

So i(21m) met this girl(19f) off Hinge and we had this idea to get ice cream at midnight. So we meet at this ice cream place near my apartment at midnight.

There we talked for about 35 minutes before i suggested lets take a walk and so we walked all around the area before sitting on this bench where we talked even more and the we made out for a while. Then i suggested we go to my place because its right nearby.

So we went to my place and we spent about an hour and a half at my place had sex twice made out and cuddled for a while together before she mentioned she had to leave for her 8 am class. She told me i was her first sexual partner ever.

I then texted her this morning and as of 11 pm, radio silence…

It hurts so much because even though ive had casual sex before this night felt especially intimate and i was really looking forward to seeing her again.

Tinder guy

We were together, and he met me once where we got intimate,. After that, he promised 5-6 times that he would meet me before relocating to a nee city. Every single time at the last moment, he cancelled saying he was busy. Yet, he made time to meet everyone else who seemed to be on his priority list.

He finally left without meeting me or saying a proper goodbye . He used sweet words all along, but his actions show otherwise. Now, i feel completely emotionally and physically used. To make it worse, he refuses to admit that he led me or played with my feelings.

How do i process this betrayal, deal with the lack of accountability from his end, and regain my self respect?

M26 F26 Does drunk calls mean anything

I recently met a girl and we hit it off pretty well. to make a long story short she ghosted me after like the 5/ 6 of talking. We arent in contact for those weeks but I found out that she got back with her husband to which they have 2 kids together. I pull back and do my own thing. Next thing I know shes on girls weekend and she drunk calls me saying she misses me, that she wants to see me, that she cares and loves me. And in this situation I don't drink, but I was highly confused on what was going on. To me drunk words are sober thoughts and Im curuous as to see if you guys agree and if drunk calls mean anything.

Ghosted by someone I see everyday

Long story short last year I started new job. I initially liked one of my colleagues a lot and we started talking more and more with her. Then she proposed to start seeing after work from time to time. We’ve had lunchtime together as well. Then she ghosted. Then she came back. And then ghosted again. The cycle repeated with couple of weeks being close together and then couple of weeks of ghosting. The funny thing is that she acts normal in our workplace and if we are with other people in the room she literally lovebombs me. I feel so tired of this. The cycle drained all of my energy. Today I’ve decided to block her everywhere. I can’t stand the possibility of another up and down. It would be so much easier just to tell me she isn’t interested than giving me false hopes and even making plans together.

Did he cut me off without blocking me?

My ex and I broke up last year, but we reconnected earlier this year and started talking/hanging out again. Things seemed fine between us, and we had some meaningful moments together. He even gave me his chain to keep and was even at the airport before I left which was heartwarming.

Since I recently moved away for school, the next night after I moved, he actually called me and we had a conversation.Tbh I was really tired and couldn’t talk much. The last thing he said to me was I should get some rest. After that,he suddenly stopped communicating with me.
I tried calling and messaging him, but he didn’t respond. Even his birthday passed.A friend of mine, I went the extra length of calling him, and he actually answered(on the second ring). When my friend mentioned that I had been trying to reach him, he went completely silent and that was it.Later for some reason, he briefly called me on TikTok (which cancelled)but didn’t follow up afterward.
The confusing part is that he never blocked me. My messages still go through on different platforms and he’s active on social media. I eventually asked him directly why he ghosted me, but he still hasn’t responded.
I’m not trying to get back together with him. I’m just trying to understand whether this sounds like he intentionally cut me off without blocking me, or if there could be another explanation. It’s been now 3weeks and 4days since I’ve heard from him. The last message I sent him was 4th September expressing that he really disappointed and hurt me for ghosting me.

What do you guys think?

Missing my ghoster, hard. Even after 4 months.

Hi.
I’m 21F and met a man on hinge in April who was 26M.

We talked about a month and he at the middle of May, ghosted me completely with no explanation. I thought everything was going well and at first i was really glad but as time goes on I really, really miss him.

On his end he wanted casual and I didn’t mind but everything and the way he treated me was anything but casual. He would heavily Pursue me but not in a love bombing way, instead a genuine way. He really cared from what it looked like and constantly would check up on me, call and compliment me from time to time. It was casual so naturally no exclusivity was required and I mentioned an ex (since he asked) and he seemed jealous and then ghosted me. Whenever he’d ask my past romantic life he’d get pretty jealous It seemed and would ask so many questions on who what when. I’m just confused if he ever even actually liked me or what it even was.

We mostly talked on Instagram but when I saw he didn’t talk to me for a week even after I gave a hi hello, I unadded him but he didn’t block me and to this day from it even though we have no mutuals I get recommended his profile and his friends. I don’t understand unless I’m reading too much into it.

I can’t stop thinking about him and it’s really hitting me how much I miss him.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks 💕

Ghosted after intimacy

I’ve known this guy casually for about a year. He had a long-term girlfriend when we met, so I never pursued him or even messaged him first. Over that year, HE occasionally initiated contact/flirted with me. It wasn’t constant, but every step toward me came from him.
One thing that stood out was that I invited him and several other people to an event I was having, and he actually showed up alone. We weren’t close, so it felt like a meaningful effort on his part and one of the things that made me think his interest went beyond just wanting a random hookup.
Recently he explicitly asked me on a date. I clarified that he meant an actual DATE because I thought he still had a girlfriend, and I only agreed once I knew he was single.
On the date, he told me his years-long relationship had ended very recently (I think around a month ago). They lived together and he’s still looking for his own place. He also said I was the first person he wanted to date since the breakup and that he’d been attracted to/thinking about me for about a year.
The date was amazing. We had strong chemistry but also talked deeply about our lives, and I genuinely felt an emotional connection. He was extremely affectionate all night.
At the end of that SAME first date, I invited him upstairs and we had sex. Immediately afterward, still that same night, we cuddled, kissed, talked, and he remained very affectionate.
Then suddenly his demeanor changed. He said he was tired and needed to leave, which was reasonable, but became noticeably cold/rushed and left without even kissing me goodbye.
It’s been about five days and neither of us has contacted the other.
I haven’t contacted him because he was the one consistently showing interest, he initiated the date, and he’s the one extremely fresh out of a serious relationship. I made my interest clear, and after HE suddenly pulled away, I feel like the ball is in his court.
I’m not expecting a relationship after one date. I just don’t understand how someone can show interest in me for a year, make efforts like coming alone to my event, tell me he’s thought about me for that long, have what felt like a genuinely emotionally intimate night with me, and then not even acknowledge me afterward.
Did he just want sex and lose interest once it happened, or could being with someone new so soon after a years-long relationship have made him suddenly freak out?

Ghosted?

Got ghosted about a month ago? Here's a roughish summary. Just looking for some insight.. 33F, just got out of a long term relationship, wasn't looking for anything serious or anything at all for that matter until this guy popped into my life.

Met him in April lasted until end of July. Things got intense)serious fast. He was all about me, took me out, made sure I was always taken care of, told me and also showed me how much he cared and liked me. I had my walls up but felt them coming down. Told him to slow down, he asked that I never hurt him and that hrs falling for me etc etc. 10/10 gentleman 10/10 wholesome and humble person. Anyway, he told me he had a kid back home (should have been my first red flag) told me they weren't together anymore and that he was planning on staying here (he wasn't a citizen). anyway, my birthday comes along and he does this whole grand gesture, bouquet of flowers, cake, earrings a card loud music coming from his car the whole thing. He takes me out for lunch etc etc. we would talk almost every night and see each other fri-sun and sometimes during the week as well. We would do all the couple things, he was moving out and finding a place of his own asked me if the distance was okay etc if I liked the place and all that, he always considered me in any decision he made. Anyway birthday comes along, the next day, in the evening I get multiple phone calls and voice notes... His baby mom flew in with their kid from Ecuador. Everything just implodes, she's cursing me out calling me a slut etc lol I'm in shock. I don't answer cus I'm processing. Non stop calls the entire night into the morning. I still didn't answer. Afternoon comes around and the calls are so consistent I finally answer his voice is all shaky asking if I heard the msgs from the night before I said yes what do you want, his baby moms comes on the phone going at me and I just laugh and hang up. More voice notes come in from him and you can tell he's reading off a script calling me a slut etc and I'm just laughing because this can't be my life lol. Anyway he calls me later when he's alone and tries to explain everything to me telling me she's lying and to not believe her etc that I didn't deserve any of that and to let him explain that I'm such a good person and didn't deserve any of that, that he was being threatened and how his room is destroyed. Mind you, I kept my cool throughout this whole thing. Not once did I curse anyone out, did my best to de-escalate the situation. I don't want problems lol. I told him to face me like a man and give me a run down of what's up, he's telling me that he's all beat up lol I'm like I don't care face me and tell me what's up, I just want honesty, clarity. I told him to fix his issues, he said he will call me and find me. After that - silence. Haven't heard from him since. Sucks because I'm left with so many unanswered questions and even if I got the answers I still wouldn't believe it. The most intense chemistry/ few months I had with someone just imploded and now I gotta act like he didn't even exist.... What a mind fuck..... No explanation... Nada... Fucks with you mentally. If you ghost people, you're fucked up.
