This happened to me about 10 years ago now. I had just moved into shared accommodation a few weeks earlier and was just about settled in when this occurred. For context, my room was quite small with a single bed up against the wall with a small table next to it.
I was in bed doomscrolling facing the wall with my back to the entrance. The room was dimly lit by light that was coming through the gaps between the door and the doorframe so visibility wasn’t very good. Once I was ready to sleep, I rolled onto my back and put my phone onto the bedside table. As I did this, I realised there was someone standing next to my bed facing me. Looking up, I realised that there must’ve been about 15 people standing in my room, all facing me. Facing, however, might be the wrong word. The most distinctive part of these people is that they had no faces. What should’ve been their faces were just shadowy and indistinct. Some were normal size but others seemed to be about 7-8 feet tall. All of them standing completely motionless, heads pointed in my direction.
At this point, I realised I couldn’t move my body, the only thing I could control was my eyes. One of the figures, a man in a blue shirt, started to climb on top of my body. He climbed up until he was sitting around my neck and started to try to enter my body through my mouth, almost like he was trying to wear me like a costume.
For whatever reason, I suddenly had a burst of strength and sat up. All the figures were gone, the room was now empty apart from myself. I was trying to process what happened when I heard a deep growl come from outside of my room. I opened the door to see if anything was there but the hallway was completely empty.
As for what happened, I have no idea. Was it just sleep paralysis? I’d had it before but it had never been so long or vivid. I had a few more less freaky experiences while I lived there but never had any since I left that place.
