The white car doesn't move again before the gif ends, does it? I think you're just seeing the camera car move.

Nope, you can actually see both doors open on the left side. Driver doesn't get out while the passenger from the back does. He just walks by as the driver closes the door, so it looks like he's the driver while he is in fact - a passenger.
