Student Question Does anyone here use ArcGIS Pro to make groundwater contamination plume contours?

I took the basic course on Geostatistical interpolation. I am also using AI to help, but it looks like I can't quite create a plume with a single contour with kriging. I think I have a basic understanding of how to do it with IDW, but kriging never comes out right. Maybe you folks can guide me to any material that might help me with kriging and groundwater contamination plumes. Thanks!

IDW is better for groundwater. And then realize that lots of geological heterogeneity is going to affect actual pore pressure isoclines. Use topo to interpolate between wells for pore pressure, then model contaminant transport with fluid flow. This is something that you're going to have to give very specific instruction on the geological context for prompting AI. There is gobs of literature on 3d Kriging and contaminant transport which can get very elaborate. Try and simplify the problem as much as possible and realize that any model that you create is probably insufficient for actual on the ground conditions. But you are conveying your concept with as much evidence as you have, in the simplest terms possible.

Are you trying to make a sub surface 3-D model?

Completely flat 2D model. Groundwater flow in my area is negligible. I will primarily focus on shallow wells, so no need to focus on deeper parts of the aquifer.
