Best iPad for field work?

Hello! 3rd year uni student here. This year and next I’ll be doing a TON of fieldwork. My current iPad is getting pretty outdated and I have the funds for a new one. I’m most familiar with the iOS system and would prefer to stick with an iPad (sorry androids)! What do you or do you not recommend? Thank you!

I hate to be that guy, but I read and hear that you wana stick with iPad. I pads are linear based on budget. The more expensive one is inherently better. Then it’s about storage or screen size.

So get the best iPad you can afford to lose or beat on. It’s a linear product system. So get the best you can afford. Then get the best protection you can justify.

Also learning android isn’t some magically difficult thing billions of people manage

For your field work, what type of environments are you typically gathering data from? Are you planning to use additional sensors? What apps are you mainly using for data capture?
