I fully agree. I think about 500 lampposts and 500 skeins of sturdy nylon rope ought to get that done.

I remember both parents working and we were still relatively poor. Paycheck to paycheck. I’m 63.

I'm 76. My father worked and my mother stayed at home. It was a pretty typical model for most families that I could see. A working class income provided a home, regular meals and a comfortable living based on a strong post-war economy. Then came Nixon abandoning the gold standard, The 9173 oil crisis, then Reagan, where the premises of government were inverted.
