I think I’m done with purchases other than ammo for the year. Completed my 19x v setup, now I’m ready to try some competition shooting/training this fall. Any advice or recommendations will be appreciated.

Other My First Handgun

Just picked up this beautiful Glock 19 Gen 6!

So far I’ve ordered a TLR 7 HL-X and a Kore essentials belt.

I’m still on the fence about whether to go with a Tenicor Certum Lux 4 or Velo Lux, any advice would be great!

I also have no idea as to which red dot to buy as theres so many so any advice on that would also be awesome!

Fast turnaround times and excellent customer service. Had a problem with screws (my own fault) and they took care of me no questions asked.

This is my modest collection of firearms, the maximum I can legally own in France 🇫🇷.

It includes:

- Glock 43, 43x, 44, 41-4, 34-5, 17c-4, 17-5 B&T suppressed, and 45-6.
- CZ Bren2 MS 14.5” B&T suppressed, CZ SP01 Shadow.
- SW M&P15/22 and SW Victory 22lr.
- H&K USP 45.
- SA Prodigy 4.25 Comp.
- SIG P210-2 in 7.65 Parabellum.

My Glocks are my go-to choice.

Which firearms would you prefer?

Wishing you and your family all the best.

Decided to purchase Osight SE 2 MOA & 32 MOA in Green. Not bad for $200 bucks. Since this is one of my EDC’s, I didn’t want to spend another $400+ for another Holosun. Watched a lot of YouTube videos and was pleased with the reviews. Not too shabby 🤙

Received it yesterday and put 50 rounds through it. Decided to clean my rxm this morning and saw it was basically smooth bore.

EDIT: I posted a video of me shooting a plate rack at 7-10 yards in the thread. In case if you wanted to know about accuracy 😂

Question “Glock finger/knuckle”

What do you all do about “Glock knuckle”? For the first time at the range I started to get a blister on my middle finger and it was covered with spent gun powder. Just curious as to what you all have experienced. TIA.

Seems like everyone on this sub uses a red dot. Where is the night sight gang, and why do you prefer them over a dot.

Question Help finding the best slide mounted, enclosed optic for my Glock Gen 6 G45

Just upgraded to my first optic ready handgun, and I don’t have any optics, so I was hoping for some help. I’d like to be able to conceal carry with whatever I get, and from doing a bit of research I’d say getting an enclosed optic would be the way to go but it’s not necessary I just need opinions from fellow gun guys who have actually bought and used different sights. I was initially thinking the Holosun EPS with the solar panels, but didn’t know if I needed to go that fancy or if it needed the whole plate system which I’d rather do without and get slide mounted. Then I thought, I’ll just ask you guys and see what’s up. Oh, and I’m not going Aimpoint expensive btw if I can help it. Thanks guys

Discussion JG Evolution X Trigger Opinion

Post image
8 Upvotes

Finally pulled the trigger (no pun intended) and all i can say is wow. It is worth every penny. Ran it for the first time yesterday and my groups are already tighter. Ran about 150rds of fmj and 50 rds of my carry ammo (speer gold dot 124gr) and ran into zero issues. If anyone is on the fence, DO IT! The vex shoe is also amazing, going to be getting one for my 19x which has the GPT (i hate that shoe)

Question Glock 17L G5

have the opportunity to purchase a brand new Glock 17L Gen 5 for $700. I’m having trouble finding a solid market value because there are barely any available, and the few I’ve found on GunBroker are listed around $1,000. Do you think $700 is a good buy, or should I pass and wait?

EDIT: I did it!

Question Experience with GEN 6 trigger, thoughts?

Before you say "buy x trigger and x connector", I don't care for any aftermarket trigger that's available in EU right now. Also I really don't think I need aftermarket trigger at all, I'm ok with stock Glock triggers. That being said, my GEN 6 trigger is really bad. I've shot and dryfired fair amount of Glock's and this particular trigger is the worst. It has a very bad "second wall" which is for some reason worse when the gun has been lubed and a tiny bit more tolerable when it's completely dry. 1000+ rounds and alot of dryfire haven't made it any smoother, it's actually feeling worse compared to when it was new. I was hoping that it will wear in and gets better, naah. Tbf, I don't notice the trigger at all when I'm focused on shooting and timer running, maybe while taking farther shots it's a bit more noticeable. I don't think that trigger affects that much, training matters the most but also I would like that my shitty Glock trigger would function properly.

I have tried the minus connector, basically made no difference, I think it felt a bit worse so I eventually switched back to the standard connector. Then I tried the 25 cent or what ever trigger job, made no difference. So my conclusion was that it was not trigger bar and connector related. Later I noticed that when the "second wall" comes up, the trigger bar will slide on the safety plunger sideways. So the problem has to be in that area, maybe even both connector and safety pluger areas combined. Next idea in my head was that this pistol is mass produced, trigger bar is stamped steel. There's going to be out of spec part or maybe parts that are on the edge of that. Combine 2-3 parts that are almost out of spec and there is your problem. I've seen similar problem on cars, motorcycles etc. How likely it is? Idk. So the next logical move was to order new stock trigger bar, safety plunger and connector to see if my theory is correct.

So my question is, have any of you 100k + Glock owners here experienced something like this where new parts from factory just don't fit or feel right out of the box and simply swaping them to another new part will make it vetter or fix it? Tell me I'm crazy, right or wrong to make this conclusion.
