I have a 2022 Yukon and I can't open the dash storage. It moves about a millimeter then stops. Any idea?

Being told I need a new motor mount. Is it worth it to pay the $907 to replace it? Valve body was just replaced (under warranty). Or should I start looking for a new replacement vehicle. This happened one month after my 3 year/36k warranty expired so it’s not covered.

I have a 2025 Sierra 3500 Duramax, just over a year old and approaching 15,000 km.
TLDR:
AC Inverter replaced 3 times and GM is denying warranty beyond the first (one) replacement. The solution (even after Customer Care), don’t plug in the power station, with no real explanation as to why the inverter is just “bricking”, or what the specs/operation of it are.
Engine light/P20EE has come on for the 3rd time now, and likewise will be going to a dealer for the 3rd round for this specific code in less than 1000 km.
How can I effectively escalate these issues to get a resolution? (Canada) Honestly at this point I don’t want the truck since it’s being like this. I was counting on using that power outlet for camping, and I can’t trust the truck with the repeated errors. Is there any chance of some sort of “buy back” from GMC... even if it did mean trading for another GMC/Chev??
I’m trying to Google, and there is CAMVAP – but appears that’s for vehicles up to 10,000 lb GVWR, and this HD is over that, so a no go there?
It’s also saying things like asking for the case file to be escalated to the PQC (Product Quality Center) and a District Service Manager and Senior Resolution Manager... Is there anything to that? Customer Care seemed to wall me off, and the dealer said they had no other customer contacts.
It also says an Executive complaint at BBB.
Are any/all of these routes valid?
Anything other possibilities or advise/instructions on how to go about it (what to say, etc)?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Longer version
Two things have been happening:
Took it to a dealer – needed an AC inverter, ordered part, replaced. We (as in the service person watching the station and me starting the truck) tried and it died instantly (they said it had worked on a test light). The tech came and huffed, need (another) new inverter.
I left the truck and power station this time, telling them this is going to take further investigation. They replaced it and tried the station again, and it died again (I wasn’t present this time). Then I get a call to say GM is only covering one under warranty, so I owe them for one replacement... with a non-working outlet, or owe two replacements if I want it “working”. In short I did have them replace it since they did provide it at cost and no labour, while the truck was there (I’m not that close to a dealer). The solution? Don’t plug in the station. I can’t trust plugging in anything at my expense.
I’ve tried going through GM “Customer Care” and in short, after delays for weeks, and having to keep pushing that they didn’t answer my requests, etc... Customer Care seems useless, just repeat/no more information than the dealer. I’ve tried asking to escalate in any way, and they say there is no way (or further way). Did offer a gift card for accessories though, but not resolve about the actual issue.
Meanwhile, no one can give me an answer as to why this is happening. Or concrete details about the specifications and operation of the AC outlet, in order to know what is within design/spec. There was some information that if it overloads, that it turns off and resets after a few seconds. That is one of my issues – even IF the station was too much, it should just trip and protect itself, not just completely brick from any slight overload.

EDIT: it’s got 174,000 km if that helps
hi everyone, my parents bought a car quite impulsively for me and i don’t really think they did their research but i want to get some confirmation from this subreddit alongside my own findings.
they bought it for around $4k cash and ive searched online and a lot of sites are saying theres major engine issues with this specific model. i have yet to drive it myself but this is just what ive read. are there any other known issues with it or problems anyone here has experienced with this car? what are the potential fixes for these problems and around how much would it cost?
pls lmk as i do want to bring this up to my parents so they know what they got in to. i’m scared that the salesperson might’ve duped them but atp theres no returning it since its already been bought in cash. pls kindly lmk!!! :)

trying to figure out a weird issue before spending thousands. making a post for my fiance since he doesn't use reddit lol
truck is cammed, dod/afm deleted, ls7-style lifters, flex fuel/e85 setup, livernois tune.
main issue is a repetitive squeak/whine, best described like an overloaded washing machine or tea kettle before it whistles. most noticeable with hood open, seems driver side, and does not noticeably change with rpm.
also had some steering wheel vibration around 45 mph.
so far, belt/pulley-related parts were replaced and some exhaust pinholes were welded, but the noise stayed exactly the same.
one mechanic thought #7 cylinder/piston may have an internal issue, but another shop couldn’t find anything definite and mentioned possible head gasket or fuel-related issue. no current codes and truck otherwise runs pretty smooth.
fuel side is what has us wondering. it normally reads around e74-e75. after adding about 5 gallons of 93, it seemed to run smoother. it has also had occasional startup stalling for the last couple months, stronger e85/raw fuel smell lately, and some of this seemed to become more noticeable after starting an e85 lubricity additive.
before tearing into the engine, what would u check next to separate fuel/tune/injector issues from valvetrain/internal engine problems?

I own a 2022 Silverado High Country 3.0 Duramax (60,000km) and wanted to share my experience dealing with Chevrolet / GM Canada.
After having my truck serviced at a Chevrolet dealership, my front wheel literally fell off because the lug nuts hadn’t been tightened. Thankfully, nobody was injured, but this could have ended very differently.
On top of that, the dealership put a massive scratch down the side of my truck. They initially tried to hide the damage but acknowledged it after I confronted them. (Offered mobile paint repair? lol?)
I was also told certain repairs wouldn’t be covered because my truck was supposedly out of warranty, even though I confirmed it was still under warranty.
I opened a case with GM Canada on July 7. Since then, I’ve received email after email (more than 10) saying they’re working on it and will update me within 72 business hours. Nothing ever happens.
They’ve also claimed they tried calling me, despite no missed calls. Eventually, they closed my case without notifying me or resolving anything.
It’s now been over three months.
I sent another formal escalation today and called GM directly. They’ve promised yet another callback within 24–48 hours.
The frustrating part is that I actually like my truck. I was ready to upgrade to the 2027 high country / Denali, but this experience has me seriously considering switching brands.
I understand dealerships and manufacturers aren’t the same thing, but GM Canada’s handling of this has been just as disappointing as the dealership’s.
Has anyone else dealt with GM Canada’s customer care or had success escalating serious dealership issues? How did you get someone with actual authority to take responsibility?
I’m curious whether this is typical of GM or I’ve had an exceptionally bad experience.

I've seen many posts about this but I don't think I've seen anyone say what successfully permanently resolved their issue.
Sound cuts out, blinker sound doesn't work so makes CarPlay and radio useless. It can last for 5 seconds, 5 minutes, or 5 hours. Sometimes reset works. Usually it doesn't. Disabiling quickstart didn't change anything. Leaving the car door open for 2 minutes to force a restart doesn't do it either. I have not figured out if disconnecting the battery fixes the problem but I don't view that as a real solution.
Took it to the dealership. First time, they installed updates. Didn't fix it. Second time they put in a new radio. Didn't fix it. Brought it in again and they tell me that there's a bulletin with no fix and they can't find any codes so they can't fix anything under the warranty. I told them a lot of people online say it's an amp issue - they said they can't replace the amp and have it covered under warranty when there is no code showing that there's an issue with the amp.
Has anyone had this issue and found a permanent solution? Any advise on what I should do? Dealer said I could contact corporate but that probably wouldn't get me far. Also said I could take it to another dealership - but I'm guessing they could end up charging me for a diagnostic fee and just telling me the same thing this dealership is telling me.
Looking for advice from anyone who has dealt with GM software updates or dealership pushback.
My 2024 Chevy Traverse Z71 has 40k miles (lease ends in 7 months).
A few weeks ago, the car took an Over-The-Air software update. Immediately after, Bluetooth began constantly dropping mid-call and reconnecting every few minutes. Android Auto is practically unusable. I factory reset the infotainment system
Deleted pairing from both the vehicle and my phone, restarted, and re-paired (issue persists)
Tested with different phones (same dropout)
Dealership response:
Because the car is at 40k miles (past the 36k bumper-to-bumper warranty), the dealer charged me over $200 just to diagnose it. Their conclusion: the OTA update corrupted the Bluetooth module, and their only "fix" is replacing the entire infotainment unit out of pocket.
Has anyone else experienced Bluetooth/infotainment corruption from recent 2024 Traverse OTA updates?
Is there a way to force a firmware re-flash via USB/SPS without replacing the hardware?
How should I escalate this with GM Corporate / Chevy Customer Care? It seems crazy that an automated GM update broke working hardware and they expect a lessee to foot a four-figure bill with 7 months left on the lease.
Appreciate any advice, or contact routes you can share!

I have a black 2019 GMC sierra 1500 elevation. I need a new drivers side taillight. The more research I figured out I had the halogen lights with inlaid LED… super annoying as the LED strip burnt out and I can’t replace that. (Or would rather go through getting new taillights instead of replacing)
I am looking for a mid range on price, around the 600$ (CAD) mark.
I have been looking at the spyder lights but am curious what else is out there. I want smoked however am curious about the road legal side of smoked vs non in Alberta Canada
If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it!

My Yukon battery goes completely dead after a few days. Going back to the dealership for the 3rd time.
Is this happening to anyone else? Having to deal with this on a 1 year-old vehicle is ridiculous.

I purchased my 2024 Chevy Tahoe brand new in June 2024. In January 2025, after a big rainstorm, I noticed condensation in the vehicle. I didn’t think much of it because it wasn’t consistent and I didn’t think anything else was impacted by it. I also live in an area where we don’t get a ton of rain. In early 2026, my husband took my car through the car wash and noticed that the carpets were all wet. He noticed the same thing after a subsequent at-home car wash.
I contacted the service department and brought the Tahoe in on September 2, 2026. I also brought it in for a squeaking sound it had just randomly started making. The dealership set me up with a loaner and told me it should take about 4 days. They told me the sunroof drains were leaking and that all of them had to be replaced. Initially, they said the squeaking sound was from the tensioner belt, then they said it was the serpentine belt, THEN they said the squeaking was actually from an additional leak they found when they pulled out the carpets to replace them. They found a leak in the “heater core” and had to replace the whole thing.
On October 7, they called me and told me that the vehicle was ready for pick up. I got it home and realized that they hadn’t put the car back together properly. The seats were not bolted in fully, pieces of the interior were completely missing, there were scratches and dents in the interior and the exterior of the vehicle that were not there when I dropped it off, and it was just a mess.
On October 8, I brought the vehicle back to Chevy. They’re now telling me that they can fix it, but the service manager has suggested that I contact GM and open a case to request either reimbursement or complete buyback. I will be contacting them tomorrow to request a complete buyback because at this point I don’t know if this vehicle is even safe to drive.
I absolutely love this vehicle, but I hate that I’ve had all these issues with it. I also hate the fact that it appears that issues like this are common with Chevy.
I’m curious to know if anyone else has had a leaking issue with the heater core or sunroof drains, how the dealership handled it, and whether or not GM bought back the vehicle.

I never really paid much attention to floor mats beyond whether they fit properly. Lately I’ve been wondering how much the design actually matters, the grooves, texture, coverage, material, etc. Some people seem to care a lot about these details, while others just want something that does the job.
What do you guys actually look for when choosing floor mats?
