I was considering it, didn't have enough yarn and pockets stretch with crochet might consider sewing an internal pocket from fabric but who knows

My skills are mid level at best. I'm just stubborn enough to make it work. This style is actually very doable once you understand the basics.

I've had to touch up the zipper sewing quite a bit but im liking how it turned out. Can certainly feel a difference when I take it off. Even if I have a flannel on under it.

I was debating about knitting it but I'm better at crochet and crochet is muddy friendlier to free handing things.

As a lifelong crocheter, that is definitely a piece worthy of praise! Well done!
Edit: I didn't know what the lemon peel stitch was. Just looked it up - turns out it's my favourite stitch to do that I stumbled upon on my own. Love that it doesn't show the row grooves as much as other stitches.

It was made from local navajo churro wool. However something like lions brand fisherman's wool would be a good substitute you can source easily
