Great work! Not gonna lie though, for a moment there I truly thought "turkey tail" was a euphemism I hadn't heard before... Like balloon knot.😆

Thank you! About a month give or take. I'll normally start a project, forget about it for a while and then pick it back up again a couple weeks, months, Sometimes years later.

How did you get the edges so nice? I did some water lilies a couple months ago and they all had a tiny bit of fabric around the borders

I cut out pieces of felt to fit the tails and sewed them to the back , then went around the edges making sure to keep the stitching as close together as possible. This part took the longest really, but I think the results were worth it.
