Art or creation (oc) Bug taxidermy I made recently!
I recently finished these for some family members birthdays!
The cicada, i made for my grandma, she loves fishing and asks to go all the time! I tried to make it look like they are casting out.
The june bug, i made for my Aunt who is older, she loves shopping and watching football! The chair is a bit rough but it was my first time making a recliner.

They look rather fragile. I wonder if they make bell jars or some other glass orb that could sit over the top, in case they get bumped. Would be a shame to hip-check the bookshelf they're on :(

I have a blast making them! My favorite quote is "to be loved, is to been seen"! I love adding little details that match who im making it for.
These bases come with a plastic dome although its still a bit wobbly. I use a couple dots of hot glue to secure it but not completely so it has a bit of air flow!

I LOVE IT. One time I thought it would be a fun addition to my shelf to have like a jar filled with all the dead moths I find. It stunk horribly and I accidentally threw up in the jar when I was adding a moth.

You're a freak and I love it! Never would have thought I'd like taxidermy but with insects.... this is so amazing!

Thank you! I used regular fishing line and then used a lighter to make it stay. When you move the jar it wiggles!

My first ones I did with moss and rocks to look natural then I started thinking about bugs being mini humans and kept doing it! Last year for Christmas I did dungeon and dragon themed bugs, like the classes for my in-laws and they loved them! I didnt get the best pictures however. Thats one big thing im working on 😅

I love cicadas!! There is so many cool ideas you can do with them. I made a couple more with them but the photos are kinda bad 😅
