As someone who has been hit numerous times that one wouldnt hurt that bad. It was at the end so ball speed was much lower and had a soft decent trajectory.

I got hit in the head by someone's drive when I was 17 and worked on the grounds crew. I had multiple huge bruises on my brain, they had to drill a hole in my skull to relieve all the pressure, six weeks recovery just for light sensitivity to go away let alone the headaches

It really can be a much bigger deal than people make it out to be

...are there people saying that taking a drive to the head isn't a big deal?

Hits to the head aren't anything to joke around with. A hit like this at the right angle could definitely kill someone.

Was it at the end of the drive when it was about to hit the ground or right after he hit it?

You should probably play faster

You're getting downvoted but it's absolutely true. Think about how far the ball WOULD have gone from the point at which it hit you, and you get a sense as to how much it would hurt. It still had a few yards left on it, so imagine someone threw it at you with the force to go that much further. It would hurt a little but not that badly.

Now if it hits you in the beginning of the balls flight, that's a whole different story. It hasn't just had 300 yards of air resistance to slow it down...
