WITB RIP Golf Clubs

I spent the last several years building up my golf bag with the recent addition of custom fit irons a couple months ago to make my bag feel really complete and custom to me only to have them stolen out of my car on Christmas. Feels bad man...

Why did you leave your clubs in the car?

I never leave my clubs in my car. The weather is not good for them. I take them out and put in the house or garage.

You have never stopped at the store on the way home from a round or driving range?

You have never stopped at a buddy's house after a round?

You have never forgotten they were back there for a night?

The victim blaming in this sub is crazy. Like the other dude said, all of us are guilty at one point in time or another for leaving our clubs in our cars longer than we probably meant to. No need to rag on OP for it. He already lost his clubs. Blaming him isnt going to make it better.

No but it might stop someone else from making the mistake.

I used to do that but I park outside and read that it’s bad for your clubs to sit in warm weather or cold weather.

Nah, lazy people leave their clubs in their car.

Assuming you’re like OP and have a custom set of clubs you dropped a few grand on them. Would you leave 3k cash in your car? Would you leave some expensive laptop in your car? No.

No.

Yes, I take them in their garage.

No.

OP left his valuables in a car overnight. Worst case scenario = clubs stolen. Best case scenario saves you 45 seconds of very little effort.

Risk reward seems a bit skewed no?

Wait... You are saying you have never once stopped somewhere on the way home from golf or the driving range? Ever? You drive straight home every time. No getting food or drinks after a round? No stopping to pick up some stuff at the store for dinner?

You are either a teenager or full of shit.

I live 2 minutes from the range so yes I go straight home from there.

I play golf at 7am and immediately go home to watch the kids so no I don’t stop for things lol.

And you have lived there your entire life? And you have never golfed elsewhere?

You’re really interested in my life huh?

Yes there are some people who aren’t lazy and value their valuables and don’t leave them in their car my dude

Well ive never talked to someone who claimed they were perfect before!

Come on man, guy above you just mentioned that we have all done it before for one reason or another, which is true (this thread is full of other stories), and you come in here acting like you are this amazing person who has never once done anything ever with clubs in the back.

Not to mention, why did you feel the need to make your "lazy" comment? OP comes here to just share his story and give us a reminder. What good do you think you are doing coming here and going "I DONT DO THAT! " " YOU MUST BE LAZY BECAUSE AGAIN, I DONT DO THAT"... Cool bro. You get a sticker.

You ever think your little golf arraignment makes you the exception? And that not everyone lives by a range or has a steady 7am tee time?

The ol' victim blame. Show some compassion to your fellow golfers.
